Sad to still see mockery of FFXIV..

I will keep this fairly short as I would rather not promote negative comments of FFXIV, however I will mention this so hopefully the people mocking the game will be proven wrong in the not so distant future.

Gamebreaker.tv yet again had a little stab at FFXIV in their latest video, while I tend to enjoy the podcasts I thought this was undoubtedly aimed at the FFXIV we saw at launch and for them to still be mocking FFXIV after so long is pretty lame, the game has made steady progress and the devs are working hard to turn things around.

So I hope that the developers put out a great game come 2.0 and prove all of these people wrong, I still have faith in FFXIV and see the great potential the game has keep up the hard work guys!

Alot of the gaming community (especially the people who make negative criticisms of the game) are not active players, and thus unaware of the substantial changes that have happened to the game since launch. Even if they have an idea of the new changes, i doubt anyone making such criticisms about the game would be willing to pay to play and see for themselves. Kinda sad tbh....but thats just how the gaming community can be. Imo idc what the media think of the game as it has come a looong way and is very fun /enjoyable for me.

It's not like SE is willing to "sell" the current version (1.x) to medias and communities anyway... Hence why promotional events related to XIV have been put on hold for a little while now. Beside "Fan Sites" interviews, nothing big was done. So cannot really blame either medias or the community for not being aware of what is going on. I don't think SE ever invited the press to try out each version update, by providing press with free accounts/trials so they can discover changes that were made and stop talking about XIV like if nothing had changed since launch.

SE's choice not to promote the current version of the game and wait until 2.0 to be ready in order to go {Full Attack!} on the market. Not a bad choice I believe, but it would still be nice to have a little bit of promotion/marketing for XIV 1.21+ now that the game is become somewhat decent.

As long as SE is not willing to however, such "mockery" won't stop and there is no way around it.

Alot of those pod cast sites are not worth anything though. XIV is universaly considered the worst mmo of all times. Bashing it makes the viewers happy and they get a laugh. Much like talk shows on the radio.

Gamebreaker I doubt has played it since patch 1.17 honestly.

The best thing we can do is do our little efforts by making movies and capturing screenshots of the new stuff.
I did a very small video and posted it on my Facebook and got a friend's and his cousin's interest back into the game.
