I’m totally sympathizing with the bot complaints, but I just want to clarify that bots use paid accounts—they aren’t using the free trial because they can’t gather gil for RMT in FC chests with free trials. They tend to use stolen credit cards to buy their accounts.

No, because rmt accounts using stolen cards re bad for SE, as fraud and charge backs impacts the ability to process credit transactions. It's in their best interest for rmt to not exist.

Yeah, they’re sadly paid accounts. Most tend to get to FC and hoard a bunch of Gil farmed from MSQ and Amdapor Keep in FC chests, and since trials don’t allow you to be in an FC or go past level 35, it would be impossible that they’re trial accounts. :c

I would like to see a crackdown on them though. Even with my server being currently congested and closed to creation, I still see the /shout spam bots in the city, and even an odd few glitching underground doing MSQ with the <Wanderer> tags. I haven’t attempted to log into my Twintania alt due to all the issues I’ve been seeing about queues over there.

It does not change it to better, its a money laundering scheme, and SE should get rid of it if they dont want to be hold accountable for it.

They don't get money from RMT's «paid» subscriptions. RMT use stolen credit cards, which means SE would benefit from a fraud: SEhave to pay back that money to the credit compagnies

Not ALL RMT are from stolen cards , Yes there will be some.. And as far as paying credit companies back , Again some will have to be paid back , Not ALL..

And i'm also not convinced that all bots are paid accounts too , Or this would mean that every week or so when they do a bot wipe , thousands or tens of thousands of stolen credit cards are used to pay for accounts?.. Again i find this hard to believe..

They max out cards for multiple accounts. All they do is buy up a bunch of starter keys (they don't go past arr) that come with the free month on one card until it won't let them anymore and then move on to another card.
