just a prop npc who you can talk and stuff, it just for fun but i kinda want to see how they interact/react to this kind of event, kinda unfair only us the player who seem enjoying this.

that and i want to see alphinaud hanging on the ledge while screaming and alisaie laughing him off on the top of the warrior obstacle challenge =P

I was actually thinking that same thing last night. I would love to see the rest of the gang hanging out there and unwinding. We only really see them at work, it would be great to see them at play and relaxing and having fun instead of only seeing them when trying to save the world.

I fear this is hard to manage as they are on different places for different players depending on their progress in the MSQ. For everyone who finished the MSQ they are aware that the Scions are not really able to attend Eorzea Festivals.

So probably it is more of an issue to find an explanation how they could attend it no matter where the player itself is in regards to the storyline. I really want to hangout with Papalymo at the pool though!

It does happen once in a while. Tataru was at the Gold Saucer during the Make It Rain Campaign.

Seasonal events are Lv15 (30 for Moonfire) and as a rule, sidequests are set at the point in the MSQ equivalent to that quest's level. So the player may not have met the Scions yet, or they may be stuck at that early point in their story, both of which would be strange for veteran players.

(Compare the recent FFXV crossover - being a Lv50 quest, Cid showed up in his ARR-era clothing that he hasn't worn since Heavensward, because that's where he is in the story relative to that quest. It's less of an issue because CID hasn't changed noticeably or become unavailable at any point. But the Scions have more important "different statuses" at certain points in the story, and either the newcomers or the veterans will find it strange.

There are exceptions like the possible scene with Biggs and Wedge at the last Ladies' Day (which you could only get if you'd completed Omega), but that's different because they were isolated skits instead of something that everyone sees the same.
