So, first of all, I wanna make it clear that I had little to no expectations from this, but honestly, this was even dissapointing that way. First off all, they ignored some of the most liked questions like missingg genders and such, but that was expected. Then, we got a very, very dissapointing reveal. Female vieras will never get acces to the hairstyles all races do. Then, we also know DNC and GNB wont get acces to the coolest looking weapon sets in the game, at least for a long time. Instead of spending time awnsering higly asked questions, they spent time awnsering questions that barely had likes and I doubt many players really cared about.

I don't care if male viera weren't even talked about, nobody should have expected that.

Yeahhh... If they're gonna keep hairstyles race specific, I seriously hope they add race specific hairstyles that look an awful lot like the ones you have to unlock or pay for.

Huge disappointment if they don't.

This is some grade A Bull manure. Not only were the races rushed, and hrothgar designed into a corner. Limited headgear, but not only that, fully limited hair too? These races feel more like appeasements to certain fan wants, but also marketing ploys.

927 page long Gender thread wasnt enough for you huh? If gender is thee most important part of the game, i kinda feel you have your priorities in a weird place. If i cannot use the old hairstyle that i could on my Highlander, so be it. Viera will get more unique hairstyle that others cannot use.
Seriously, the other gender will probably be part of the next expansion given how long it takes to developer races.

If you want them to make weapons and such from 2.0-4.58, they would have to slow down development on new fresh content and gear. Do you think time isnt a big part of their decisionmaking? They arent doing this to piss people off you know. Siiiigh

This so much. I am a huge supporter of the addition of Male Vieras, but some people make it really hard to rally their cause considering that they act like crybabies and literally tries to suck out all the joy of everything else in the game for everyone else until it happens. Like come on! This LL had so much stuff to feel hyped about such as the Y'shtola glam which I personally have been asking for since we saw Y'shtola's new groove and the job changes and the (to some) LONG awaited PvP changes. I could see people wanting more 5.1 info, even though we are months from it happening, but to complain about no speak of Vierra when they have literally done a statement about that already is so over the top.

Just bored about the same answers we have again and again concerning "memory data restrictions". They can't just add a simple beard....come on.....

I hoped they would add options and customization for every races (now the 2 last races are available) but with this kind of answer i'm just disapointed cause a beard is just like a hairstyle, so what the trouble?

They are just lazy? SE doesn't want to invest in their game cause FF7 with its 20 dlc eats all our subs and cash shop bills?

During years we had some "ps3 limitations" for most of everything, now what? Ps4/5/10?

I have worked 12-14 hour workdays over long period of time and it almost killed me healthwise as I was exhausted physically and mentally and got very little sleep. And you can clearly see Yoshida is drained in the LL.
People who call game developers lazy, should look in the mirror and ask themself if THEY are really productive and how to do more if possible. You constantly hear game studios and Crunchtime where they work endlessly and often without overtime pay etc.

Shadowbringers has been an amazing experience so far, so I would say the budget to XIV has not gone down but up as even they animations and voiceacting this time has been really great.

PS: There will ALWAYS be limitations, be it time, money, hardware, manpower, so get used to it. Even if you have a monster PC, there are many who cannot afford that. And if they cut PS4 support, this game would prolly loose hundreds of thousands of subscribers, meaning less people to queue with, less income to XIV which means less budget going forward.

Thank you but i work about 12hrs/day too and ya i'm productive. I was questionning myself about the reason they have answered that for a simple beard option on a character that's why i used some "?"
Relax whiteknight and ya i find healer design lazy, housing system lazy, stuff skin design lazy for an add on (most of it is just some old skins with diffrent colors or exported on another class or a mix of 2 previous stuff), and since the beginning of 2.0 they haven't added a single new face per race or something, just some poor makeups, . The game itself is designed for glam farm / aesthetic, so come on.

They don't take lots of risks concerning biggest issues of the game like housing, gameplay, memory, there are options but they seem to not want to change their systems and each time one of those issues reemerge, forums are on fire, they wait and don't react then once the storm is over they used to add some spangles on a diffrent subject and voilà and it's the same schema years after years.

I won't ever claim the employees themselves are being lazy, I think it's more a management issue if anything personally.

Also, these devs are being paid by us the customer who have an active subscription, who are also paying for the game, and the expansions, and potentially cash shop items. If they were an indie dev, or this a purely free game (modder for skyrim for example) THEN I would be grateful. They are not, they are a multimillion dollar company. They need to allocate time and resources properly, and fix the issues that their customers are having with the game. Paying an active subscription means we should expect service. If that service starts not meeting expectations, they should expect their customers to not pay for that service any longer. Many things in this game do seem to be getting streamlined, rushed out, or put on the back burner so they don't have to work as hard on it. What I say is don't release it until it's finished, or don't release it in such a broken state that it's too difficult to fix it later!
