Hey, thanks for checking my thread out. I was just discussing with my friend that also plays how cool it would be if something like what I put in the title existed for the FF14 team. I got the idea when I saw that a restaurant offered a charge that was "buy the cook a beer" essentially allowing you to reward the staff for an excellent meal above and beyond. We then had a pretty sweet idea, which goes something like:

New mogstation item is pitched in an update, said item is priced a bit high, with the 'extra' proceeds going to doing something fun for the dev team. Company outing, party, buying them cool office swag, whatever. The results of the funding is then shown in the following live letter or some such public outreaching showing how our money was spent and how it was fun for those involved.


Idk seems like a cool idea, I know something like what I described might not scale super well for a really large team like we have, but in the off chance that it might give someone a better idea, I figured it was worth putting it out in the universe.

I pay them with my monthly sub and the occasional store purchase to maintain a game I still mostly enjoy. I'm not here to fund their recreational activities, even less so after having my intelligence insulted before this most recent patch went live.

That said, the sentiment is cute but I'm not wanting to give them more money to do stuff like
this when I'm not particularly happy with the state of the game. So no.
