deep dungeon potions

From a conversation between some fc mates and friends, as a few of us have started up trying for that elusive potd floor 200 clear again-

Why are sustain/empyrean potions, which are often the difference between continuing and certain death in solo play, only able to be purchased by potsherd trade in? Yes I know you get 20 per potsherd, but boy can you go through em. And farming them is rather difficult to impossible as well, given their random drop and if you're with a group, random who it even goes to.

We want very much to enjoy this content, to try for that far away floor. But the potions should just be a gold sink, not take the tokens used to buy prizes. Potions aren't a prize, they're a necessity.

SE gotta stretch that content even more so for some reason.

Yeah, imo POTD should be a lot more generous with the potsherds; they are way easier to get in HOH due to them dropping from the (spammable) floor 30 boss. POTD has no such equivalent. Not to mention it's hella old content.


Just make the floor 60 boss (or hell, all the bosses from 50+ if you're feeling generous) drop one. Or make the potions gil buyable, whatever.
