Forum Character Broken.

My main character is inaccessible on the forums to post, and has been for four years. I have brought this up repeatedly, with the Support Desk. With the GMs. With the support desk. And you always just reply like a broken chat bot that doesn't speak English.

I have put hundreds of dollars, and thousands of hours, into my main character. I would like to be able to use the forums to post about said character.

Zoran Asursch.

He isn't even listed as an option in the profile character settings pane.

All my alts are, who have posting limits.

But the character I have spent years working on isn't even there.

That's because he is Zoran. And has been since Shadowbringers.

But that's not all, Naobi has been max level since ARR.

He hasn't been on Typhon since Heavensward.

I transferred him to Balmung then, and have played him consistently, having him be max level each expansion etc etc

So how bout you fix this, eh? Pretty shameful your FORUM CODE is this broken.

It is super cool that I can post on a character that hasn't existed for five years.

But maybe fix my account so I can use the forums more than twice a year, and also so that I recieve my damn items I buy in the Mogstation? Been waiting a week now on my last purchase, it's just lost in the void. And I've checked my inbox multiple times, requested the items.... Cleaned it out of mail....

Update: Five days later I get my Mogstation purchase on my alt.

Sad News: But I still can't use my main on the forums, six months after I started to pursue these problems with my service account.

I'm going to do a wild stab in the dark here and ask, is the character you want to use with the forum on another seperate FFXIV account? The reason I ask is a lot of times when players cannot access certain characters for whatever reason is it turns out their 'current' character is on a new FFXIV account they inadvertently created instead of the earlier one (this was particularly common with players from 1.0 who forgot their old account details and so created new accounts, thus they couldn't use their old character data with their new account). It also commonly happens with players who first create a character on one version of the game (like PC), and then purchase a new version (like PS4) and inadvertently create a new SE account thinking they need to do so to play.

Of course that may not be the case here, but it's worth checking.

As someone who works in customer service, I'm just going to say that insulting the people you want assistance from really isn't going to help your cause. Being super polite wins you the high moral ground - since you are entitled to feel pissed off - and also has the effect of making them want to do what they can. If I was an SE employee, you'd have fallen way down my list of things to do at this point.

Also, if Enkidoh's post is right, I do hope you apologise to the people you insulted

I too work in custom service and if I let a problem persist from February I would lose my job and will to live for being a colossal failure.

I know how easy it is to just dismiss me as being an idiot who can't use the service properly, but I've already explained the situation and dismissed that multiple times here and on reddit.

Their garbage code is garbage.

And they should feel bad for charging for a service in this state.

Those characters are on THAT service account...

It should follow, if the forum was working as intended, that Zoran should be as well.

But you'd know that if you read, because five years ago...

Naobi was Zoran, he just never updated since then.

Despite me playing him for all of Heavensward. All of Stormblood...

And now all of Shadowbringers.

So, now that we can stop blaming me... Like the customer service and all of reddit has, because everyone treats this dev team like they are infallible....

We can turn our attention to the actual problem.

Have you tried switching to that character? The forums take time to update character information, and probably don't bother with all the characters that aren't being used to post. Also it wouldn't be instant, I would suggest switching and making a post with that character set, and then waiting several hours as the update may happen on a fixed schedule.

I've done that over the years, I posted on him when this first started.

Keep in mind, he has been like this since ARR.

Not since I ran ARR.

I use him, everyday?

I posted on him and switched to him yesterday and this morning till I hit my limit.

It just never updates.

In five years.

I have tried everything. Refreshing. Etc etc.

Since I changed servers on Heavensward launch? It has stopped updating.
