Man I try to setup a countdown but a lot of times there's a healer or ranged dps that will just pull and I ask if they do it intentionally and they say yes =/
-people who actually believe in the mentality of "you pull, you tank". Tanks, if a healer or dps is pulling ahead of you, its because you are making the dungeon slower. I know it may seem disrespectful, but just because they are pulling ahead of you doesn't mean you are obligated to not play your damn job properly LMAO
That. ...the tank pulls, if smt is up or im distracted for a sec you tank it. As tank i wont pull more then my dps can burn and my healers heal so id expect to keep it the same for others.
Countdowns. At this point id love an enforced 15-20 sec CD on every trial/raid as its super annoying, whenever i wanna make one ppl ignore it, when i dont care as usually ppl ignore it, ppl complain and on others... if i get a 5-4-3-2-1 its basically useless...

The first time I heard it was in The Realm Online. It was one of the first graphical MMOs released back in 1996. It was definitely in the "3D models? What is this the future?" category. The characters there absolutely looked like cartoons. While I'll freely admit FFXIV's character models don't look like cartoons, the term is just old a dirt at this point, it isn't going anywhere.

That’s fine, they can also be vote kicked for being disrespectful. Generally I’ll determine how big to pull based on the level of the content, ilvl is the party(esp the healer), and party comp, if I determine small pulls are better I’ll pull small. If someone asks me to pull bigger I’ll attempt to do so and if we don’t wipe I’ll keep doing it, if we wipe I’ll go back to small pulls. That’s the important thing here, asking. I’ve lvl’d strong aoe DPS before and asked the tank to pull big and they didn’t want to, so instead of pulling for them I respected them and didn’t pull for them. Cause you know some things are better than clearing a dungeon a minute or two faster, like respecting people.-people who actually believe in the mentality of "you pull, you tank". Just responded in the tales from the DF about co-tanks that don’t respect the pul timer. I have actually already posted that to this topic... as it triggers me when I encounter it. And it got me thinking about pulling which reminded me of the flip side of this...
Tanks that wait at the start of a boss in something like a dungeon, while I on a SPS job am watching the last few seconds of some long combo buff that jas a 1-hit move to renew wear off...
This one goes all the way nack to my days of leveling mage alts in WoW...
But when I started playing Ninja here on an alt back in Stormblood it came back with a vengeance. And as I leveled dancer this expansion it started to really grate on me.
We reach a boss... logic says the tank will pull as soon as the healer steps over the blue line and confirms they will be inside at the lock out... my own dungeon pull rule as a tank...
So do I start standard step now, wait for a timer or wait for the pull? It is even worse on ninja and the speed buff... long prepull chain of keypresses to renew, 2-3 hit combo if I remember right to refresh... and I am just sitting there watching it tick down in a run with no “new player here” bonus while the tank is asking in chat who knows the fight...
Once I leveled a mage alt in WoW I actually stopped getting mad at players that pulled for me when I was tanking... I finally learned why they did that...
There are so many times in FFXIV when I have been tempted to hit the last step of that combo that will hit a boss and then either put “oops” in chat or hope the tank just keeps going because they main a DPS and get why I did that...
Even on a healer... there I am ready to go, watching procs and buffs fall off the DPS, and the full health tank is just sitting there... I start thinking of “accidentally” hitting aero...
The other day on a short return to WoW... I greatly appreciated misdirect for the survival melee hunter I was on... which is basically a skill that gives “shirk” at 100% of enmity to the DPS... so you can pull stuff onto a tank.![]()

In addition to my post about dyable pants(Linen bottom and all the varients), finding..good pants is difficult in general >.<

I did leveling today and was blessed with Ifrit normal. After the short fight, the healer plugged their twitch, twitter, instragram, and tumblr urls in a macro before leaving. I never knew this was a thing until today and I hate it.
edit: If the party had been chatty, I think it would have been okay. But no one even said hello and the fight was short. It just seemed really out of place and weird, in my opinion.
