Face: No facial expressions seem to show (try the emotes). Still, I rarely see the front, except in cutscenes.
Stance. Hunched, wide spaced bent legs, seems ready to pounce at all times. Looks tiring, not relaxed when just standing around.
I'm just using the default racial gear, so the shoulder fur pattern shows. I only have two other glamours left over from my fem M'iqote, but they're both full coverage.

The most disappointing thing about Hrothgar is definitely the fact that you have to buy a Fantasia every time you want to change the hair. As someone who sometimes gets an urge to change it I wouldn't be able to play something that makes me pay real money for such a change.

And another thing on top of this is that Hrothgars don't get even a few hairstyles from the onces other races have. Maybe not all of them but I'm sure it'd be possible to put at least some of them on Hroth faces... that is if they made them separate :/
Bunnies also have the lack of hairstyles problem and it feels like they at least get more choices but honestly half of Vieras' hairstyles are just the other half with some bangs slapped onto them.

Not to mention the fact that people farmed/spent gil/real money on some hairstyles and now can't even use them so they sit there like a big waste of time or money. I don't have much hope for the big cats but I'll still pray for both them and the bunnies getting access to older hairstyles in the future.

I wholeheartedly agree. I couldn't care less for clipping, if it's bad I'll just hide or glamour the headpiece and if it looks fine I'll just deal with the fact that there are no actual holes.

For the Hrothgar's use of the aesthetician, I can only hope this gets addressed in the upcoming PLL. I love Hrothgar a lot, even with it's helmet limitations but if you tell me that I can't use the aesthetician to change fur patterns or have no plans to make that possible...then sadly I might have to rethink my usage of Hrothgars.

If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.

They only have so many variables that can be changed, and so many that can be changed via aesthetician.

For Hrothgar, the variable that can be changed via aesthetician is the fur pattern and fur colour, with the 'Hairstyles' instead taking up the same variable slot as Au Ra horns, by being tied to the face.

Unless they change the way the aesthetician works, all Hrothgar will get is more fur patterns.
Well, unless there's a boatload of fur pattern to make up for the number of hairstyle we won't get, that was a very very poor decision

All of the expressions in the emote list show up just fine on Hrothgar. I was actually quite pleased with how expressive my character was during the MSQ. A lot of game devs don't put much work into the expressiveness of animalistic races beyond being able to snarl. Hrothgar, on the other hand, have very expressive faces.

The only reason I haven’t switched back is because it costs money and I have a little hope that additional hairs and helmets will be added. I would have never switched had I known how limited the clothing options and jandellain changeable things were

I'm.. Content. That's the word I think I'd use. There are issues which do need to get addressed.
Hairstyles and faces. This is the big one. I would at the very least like to be able to switch to the other hairstyle my face can use. I also hope that they keep to their word of adding new faces and hairstyles as time goes on.
Headgear. I'm fine with what we have currently. I don't use all that much headgear so it doesn't bother me as much but I can understand where it's coming from.

There's also odd animation issues I keep seeing which I report. The Manderville Mambo is guilty of this where the head clips through the raised shoulders by a considerable amount as well as some odd dancer animation abilities where the arms go thinner than normal and twist.

Other than that I'm generally happy with them.

I had not really paid much attention to the hairstyles being "locked" unless you use a Fantasia - probably because I never change my hairstyle anyway. Not fussed over any new fur patterns.

I'd like to see facial expressions and dare I say it a bit more body bulk and padding down below would not go amiss too.

So we might not even get hats/helmets at all because LUL system limitation.

Given how we were able to get some 500+ pieces of headgear available for the new races at launch thanks to some kind devs working behind Yoshi P and on their own time leads me to believe that this aforementioned system is automated to a degree so they might have had to do things manually or some extensive reworking of the system to give us the headgear we have now. Then again I'm not a programmer for this game so I obviously don't know. I've also seen it stated that they would make certain pieces compatible based on player demand/request. Maybe this was awkwardly translated. Either way this statement is kind of inconsistent with what we have and it's clear that it is indeed possible.

As for my opinion on Hrothgar I like many other people condemn the fact that hair is tied to face and that it can't be changed without a fantasia. I'm hoping that it was at least some form of technical oversight because expecting players to commit to one hairstyle (and not even allowing them to change between hair that shares the same face at the very least) and intentionally locking it behind a paywall - especially if they plan on releasing new hairstyles/faces later down the line - is a really scummy move.
This is probably going to sound terribly petty but with the relatively limited options Hrothgar have in terms of customization I feel that "same-face" is far more prevalent with them. Even though the other races excepting Hyur have just four faces to choose from as well it really exemplifies how much the hairstyle options can offset this issue, and when each Hrothgar face only has two to choose from... it just makes it all the more difficult to make a character that really stands out from the rest.

I really like hrothgars, the race is amazing and their emotes and poses are just something XD But it's unfair that they can't change hairstyles without buying a fantasia >< Even those 2 ones which we have for the one face-type couldn't be changed through the aesthetician. This is insane! I really can't see any problems in adding more hairs for big kiities... They definitely need more devs' love...
And of course it would be cool to wear more head gear...
