So it's actually pretty underwhelming having to press so many keys for such a small buff

I mean, it's comparable to Trick Attack, and it takes a Ninja 5 or 6 buttons to use that. So it's not that much more work on paper, but of course the hassle of having to target different players for several cards to get up to that point is quite a lot more work.
And of course Trick Attack is every 60s, not 120s...
