I DESPISE the duty One Life for One World more than any quest in any game in the history of gaming. So much so that I paid 18 dollars just to skip it and only 9 quests to be done with this f-ing bs.
That is all.

"Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds."
The problem with that battle is the targets you need to click on to pass it are not easily noticed (I failed several times before I realized what I was doing wrong). Despite the game telling you to 'give your aether to Alisaie', that is not actually the case, the actual target you need to click on is not her, it's the Blade of Light she conjured before her that you need to power up (which tends to get hidden by all the particle effects flowing around the battlefield as it's nameplate is white not green). If you have some way of healing others like if you are WHM then do so as it will reduce the risk of the Warriors of Darkness killing her before she can power the blade up.
But the main thing to remember is the actual target you need to click on, it's the Blade of Light, so when the game tells you to do so, click on it, and then concentrate on beating down as many of Evil!Derplander's thugs as you can (although that is easier said than done when you have five Echo-empowered idiots curb-stomping you, so beating down at least the WAR and the PLD may give you at least a little breathing space).
Either way, don't despair!

It explains the mechanics and how to do it. Also for the third "aether" click, try clicking on the "bubble" the surrounds Aliase. It's when she is saying about Holding the line.
The first time I tried to do it, I got stunned and murdered by Ar(d)bert when I tried to make the Blade of Light. It's less hectic once you know the order that everyone comes after you, though.
