Help with posting on regular forums

I have a level 28 character and I haven't posted in days. I am not sure how to edit my avatar to reflect the change to my new main, could someone help?

If you have multiple characters you can select which to use as your avatar (which is also the one whose level is checked for those posting restrictions) by going to "Settings" (top right corner, next to the Log out button), then Edit Character (in the left hand panel). That should bring up a list of your characters.

Clicking them to switch their background color from blue to brown distinguishes which are part of your public profile, but the more important part is clicking the little star in the corner that identifies which to use as your main avatar character. Then you'll also want to select which of its class(es) to use. There's three dropdown boxes to select a character's classes. The first of them on your selected main character is the one that shows up by your avatar and determines your posting privileges. The others are just extra info on your profile. (Remember to click "Save Changes" when you've selected what you want.)

It might take a little while for changes to be reflected. Sometimes the Lodestone also falls a bit behind on updating stats when you've recently gained some levels in-game or created a new character.


EDIT: Looks like your avatar updated while I was typing that out. Well, the instructions might be helpful for someone else who comes across this.
