    Armoire

So i just bought the Eastern Socialite outfit from the mog station, unlike everything i ever bought from the mog station this will not allow me to place it in the the armoire so that i may add it to a glamour plate for easy usage. Is it just the outfit or am i doing something wrong? do note i have bought lightnings outfit and recieved the cloud strife outfit which both went into the armoire no trouble. As well as the song bird outfit. Is this one just not allowed too?

You can just add it to the glamour dresser directly. Not ideal, taking up the limited space. But all you can do.

Mog station items seem to be a bit hit and miss as to whether they can go in the armoire.

The Mog Station items that go in the armoire are actually seasonal event or crossover event items that later got added to the Mog Station for people who missed the event, whereas gear that was created to be sold through the MogStation in the first place does not.

It still seems pretty arbitrary, though. It would make more sense for both to be storeable.

Since I do not use the glam plates, due to them only functioning in a sanctuary, I use my glamour dresser as an overflow storage unit. Gets the job done quite nicely. If they ever fix the glamour plate issue though...that will take some inventory juggling.

If you have spare room there, I suggest you make the most of it. Its all kinds of free gear storage.

they didn't make it easy to spot, but while shopping at the mog station, you can check if it's storable in the armoire:
    and like what Niwashi said

No. Both are limited. They only function in major cities. You can only change them at the glamour dresser in an inn room.

I still don't understand this logic when people bring it up.

Glamour plates have a fantastically useful function, but they don't work everywhere.

So why refuse to use them in the places where they do work?

There's nothing to lose, except a one-time trip to the inn. Put the item in the dresser (cost: 1 prism), put it on a plate, take the item out again if you want to keep it with you.

Then any time you're visiting a town, you can apply those plates for free, or instantly switch between multiple costumes.

Where is the downside to this?

once you set your glamor it doesn't change when you leave a city. I said it can only be changed in certain places. Are you misunderstanding me?
