I prefer tanking, and I find healing to be the most stressful role. A big part of that has to do with how durable tanks are - they can survive mistakes that would pulverize a DPS or healer. Healer has to watch out for those AND do their thing, because if they stop doing their thing, people die. DPS are intermediary - they, too, are squishy, but if they stop doing their thing, enemies die more slowly, which is generally only a big concern in Extreme and Savage content.

As for the responsibility that comes with being "the leader" in dungeons or whatever, setting the pace of the run - honestly, I don't see a lot of criticism or praise no matter what I do. On the rare occasion when I DO bite off more than the party can chew, and a wipe results, folks seem sympathetic, more often than not, "Good try" or "Maybe a bit much" is a lot more common than "You idiot", with dead silence being the most common of all.

And, to be perfectly honest, I'd say healers get just as much blame for wipes than tanks do. Players have expectations to how much a party can handle in a pull, having run those dungeons many times with many different tanks. If a tank pulls the same amount they've seen successful elsewhere, and a wipe happens - often it's the healer that gets criticized, if any criticism occurs!

    It depends.

Of the two choices, if it's non-EX/Savage content that I've ran before...I actually prefer to tank. It's easy, pretty laid-back, and I know I'm good at it. There's a fun to be had in doing the dance with rotating the cooldowns and making everything follow you where you want to go. (I'd typically prefer DPS over tanking some days for this content b/c you can just be lazy, but tanking is still alright.)

That said, if it's EX or Savage content...or if I haven't done it before...I'd much rather heal. It's a bit more stressful to worry about messing up a tankbuster where it really matters or tankswap just a bit too soon (or late), etc. In this content, I prefer healing over all other roles, even DPS. I'm comfortable healing...I know how to heal and what my abilities do (SCH doesn't really have spells) like the back of my hand, and while I'm by no means the best player out there, I am above average and good at it. (Comparatively, I suck at all DPS jobs [sorry group that carried me for my first clear of Titania EX b/c you didn't have a healer slot open!].)

    Tanking.

Oddly enough, I find it quite relaxing because I have control over the situation compared to being a DPS. Of course, I tend to take everything in stride so mass pulling the entire room only to die for whatever reason doesn't bother me. I almost switched to tanking for the static I wound up joining this tier but they had another tank. As for healer, it's more something I do on the side. Still enjoy it, though I have yet to bring a healer up from 70. Need to see how White Mage feels being the absolute powerhouse now.

Dont have a job I prefer since I enjoy all of them, but healer is far more entertaining occasionally. Especially healing tanks who are wearing the wrong gear and chain pull never using cds.
