No idea what you are doing wrong, but since 1.21 synthesis is really easy. Breaks are more rare and it is way easier to craft something with a gap greater than 5 levels. I could craft level 44 Fleece with a LTW 34 without much difficulty. 800 EXP per synth. 1000+ when I could manage to use Careful Synthesis once. And even failing near 100% progress = 230+ EXP... (which is the amount we used to get for a successful synth at the same level)
Couldn't care less if it breaks, everything you craft for skilling up purpose is worthless. I'd be mad failing a HQ with expensive HQ mats, but leve with mats you didn't even pay, really...?
What about drop rate then? Maybe you should quit playing MMOs.I don't want to work for stuff and the game's RNG still decide I don't get stuff after I worked for it.
You can work hard to kill a NM or clear a dungeon, do a flawless run (no death, success with first try etc.) and yet get... no drop (or not the one you wanted). So basically "work for stuff and the game's RNG decide I don't get the stuff after I worked for it" (here stuff = drop)
Protip: you are playing a game. Luck is a part of any game.
