I want the legs from the SCH 50er set. I don't want to play SCH but boy do I want to have this for my other glamours!

Lmao what?
Outside of AF gear none of this makes sense.
My plumber wears street clothes and my doctor doesn't always wear his white doctor's robe cause all that matters is their certification/degree. Our in this case or JOB ICONS....
Like does no one look at that? Or the weapon some one has or what skill someone is using?
If someone in full tank glamour starts casting medica II, I man it's painfully obvious that's the healer.
For everyone "muh immersion"-ing, know that npc's already mix and match gear across roles to make outfits and you don't bat an eye.

Savage Completion Rate ~5%+ of active players. Community: "Ugh stop catering to savage"
Ultimate Completion Rate ~1% of active players. Community: "Ugh stop catering to the hardcore raiders"
Frontline/ Rival Wings/ Hidden Gorge Mount Aquisition ~0.05-1% of active players. Community: "Ugh PVP is so dead in this game, they should stop investing in it"
Blue Mage Morbol Mount Aquisition ~0.01% of active players. Community: "WoW bLuE mAgE iS sO fUn AnD aCtIvE i CaN't WaIt FoR mOrE lImItEd JoBs"
Better idea. Ask the dev team to create more diverse armor sets.Look, I get the whole immersion argument, but folks can straight up dress up as full frogs now. A white mage in heavy armor doesn't look any more "lore-breaking" than a frog body with a chocobo head shooting a mechanized drill at monsters.
Throw wide the gates. Lift the restrictions, SE!
Some armor for casters. Some cloth for Tanks and Physical Dps, and some bikini armor and etc.
Immersion? This has to do with the world operating in a consistent manner. For the most part a person should be able to wear whatever they want to. I have not seen any reference to any magic that keeps a person from doing so. I seem to remember certain references to the player character being worthy or earning the right to wear certain clothing but I believe that was only in reference to the 45/50 job sets. Whatever that worthiness is the PC has attained it and they are still the same person even when they are in another job. I don’t recall it being related directly to the soul crystal as that is also something the PC had to be worthy of. Is there some lore that states that Monks and Samurai share some equipment but not others? Correct me if I am wrong.
Gear limitations do not exist for immersion. They exist to protect players form themselves (eg.: equipping gear that is not appropriate stat-wise) and from the wrath of other players (eg.: needing on gear that is not for the job they are using). Glamour exists in lore and glamour is NOT real. You are not actually wearing the equipment that is seen. Does the class guild get irate over the wrong gear being worn or glamoured? The NPCs that make up the class guilds have never really noticed what I’m wearing. There don’t seem to be any real Job guilds. Just a mentor and a lacky or two. Sometimes your mentor isn’t even a practitioner of the same job. They don't seem to care what I wear.

Let's say it depends.
Locking dyable glamour to a specific job when there are two non-dyable that can be shared between all magic classes doesn't make sense.
Locking compagny set to specifics jobs when other classes end naked doesn't make sense either. Especially since they are able to do Aetheryte Earings that can adapt stats to the job.
Race locking doesn't make sense either. Since when would people be "forbidden" to wear another race clothes? It is somehow immersion breaking for RP.
I can understand AF, raids and dungeons jobs lock but not the situations I describe before.

I think having the option to use different glamours on same gear for different classes would be better. Sadly glamour sets are limited though.. maybe different types of glamour prisms that apply glamours for only one class? I don't know how it could be done but I would appreciate a convenient way to differentiate my tank glamours from each other.
The only, and I repeat, ONLY reason why it's locked is so they can recycle gear in new dungeons. To add insult to injury, the recycled gear is then assigned to different roles - in Shadowbringers, for instance, what used to be striking gear is now casting gear, only with a recolor, etc, so their identity argument is dead on arrival. It's infuriating.
Sure, don't let us glamor artifact gear, whatever. But let us glamor everything else. As long as you can wear it on a job you have leveled up to that point, it should be fair game for every other job. If anything, this may make people level additional jobs and play more, leading to more subscription time. For instance, Ninja Shire gloves look amazing, and I would gladly level Ninja to 60 for them, even if I hate Ninja and would never do it otherwise.
Only reason i liked your post is cause this made me LOL but i disagree tbh, they should make some heavy/lighter armor versions for each class on their own tho!
tho id appreciate being able to use DoL/DoH sets for my Battle classes~
im sure they could still keep up with recycle dungeon gear its definitely why they wont make everything dyable but it wont stop them recyclingThe only, and I repeat, ONLY reason why it's locked is so they can recycle gear in new dungeons. if they even go with that anymore
Since judging from 80 dungeons it might just be accessories besides contest winners which will be unique
