Home World transfer

I applied, paid for & completed a home world transfer from Balmung to Malboro to play with my friends. I see my character on the new world (Malboro) but when I try & login it puts in into a very long queue (started at 14,300 now I'm at 13,825).

When my friends who are on the server attempt to login it shows them 20-30 people in queue at the most & they get in within a min or two.

I am trying to understand what is going on. Is this part of the world transfer? Is this a one-time login issue when you move worlds?

I created a new character on Malboro & was able to login without a wait so I am unsure what is going on.
