    Then they don't know how to heal in stressful environments. The problem, however, is this:

    Movement should revolve around mechanics in a fight. People should not be lazy and kite shit all over the place because "it's easier," then expect a healer to tail them around like their personal butler. That's the point at which movement is for movements sake, and it's due to tanks not wanting to put real effort into their job.

    Movement should occur when it is necessary, like avoiding fire on the ground, or getting to a buff on the floor, or LoSing a mob. It should not involve having to chase down a tank who doesn't know how to tank. I spend enough time moving around to get buffs on everyone while trying to stay out of range of mob AoE, and I try to time my spells perfectly every single time, and I also try to LoS things when the tank refuses to get a boss facing the proper direction. I am not also going to chase a PLD around a goddamn tree. If he takes too much damage and gets out of my range, then he deserve to die. Anyone who does that, even if it is the majority of players, is doing it wrong. If the content forces us into that situation, then the devs are doing it wrong, too.

    Come into WoW and let me heal you in Dragon Soul, and if you can survive, you'll see how movement and healing should work during a battle. If I remember correctly, Jinko also plays WoW, and that's probably why he is able to pull off what he can in this game. WoW is a trial by fire for healers, and it teaches one what is proper and what isn't, and if it's one thing I have learned, it's what constitutes a tank who doesn't know what the hell he is doing.

    The boss mechanics in the game are sorely lacking. I'm fairly new, so I've only seen a few, mostly DH and the job battles, but with what I've participated in, and the videos I've seen, they do not impress.

    I am willing to tolerate it for now, as I know the devs are trying to balance a lot of things at once. All new MMOs tend to go through these problems, and FFXIV is even worse off due to where it started from. I can only say wait it out and hope that things get better.

    darkhold has been severally nerfed. Its more of a casual friendly dungeon now. Tanks can just stand in front of batrals lasers now, you used to have to avoid them while making sure you didnt face him towards your party cause they would one shot pretty much anyone except the tank.

    Also job battle are not meant to be endgame content, its progression content. If they made it too hard people would complain about not being able to progress their jobs.

    I know that DH is older and nerfed, but I don't think we should be able to literally run through and ignore mobs. And even though the job bosses aren't endgame, they shouldn't reward the tank for kiting things all over the place (like around and around that tree in WHM R50), especially now that healers need to stay more stationary. It feels really wacky to me. @_@

    Well there is other ways to kill that WHM fight, I for example went in with 5 WHM's and we each soloed one, raising eachother when we got one shot, it was a total blast.

    As I said above players will always abuse the easiest strategy.

    It's just a shame, I think. I don't want the bosses to become super hard, but a bit more variety would make the encounters so much more fun.

    I think people are doing it just for the AF, and they want to do it quickly. Maybe it wasn't the best idea to put it in DH. People still get hit by the mobs chasing us, and I can't heal them if they keep moving (which they need to, I guess).

    I suppose it's something I just have to deal with in hopes that future instances and quests will be set up better.

    you only have to run past the mobs if your going for speed. But if you do you wont get 5 chest at the end. Thats only 1 dungeon, in cutters cry you have to kill everything and they even made the dungeon into a puzzle.
