I have no problems with the current raids but I sure don't want to run some of those in PuGs (it's not a pleasant experience, when you get people in the group who do not listen to directives) and especially not when I'm leveling.

A good example of this are the adds on the thunder god in Ordonne. If you have clueless people in the other groups who do not know how to position aoe, said groups will wipe and it ll make your raid wipe in turn, and there is precious little you can do about it if you are in the other groups. Sometimes people listen to directives but sometimes they are simply oblivious to it, resulting in a headache for the remainder of the raids and often an abandon duty/timeout.

They should bring back the normal rewards for the "latest" alliance raids, and the rewards should be big.
More exp, more tomestones, so more people will find them worth playing instead of lowering down ilvl and doing roullete.

At the same time i would nerf the roullete bonus for alliance raids a little.

The only reason why people are doing it is because they want roullete bonus with as little time investment as possible. There is a way to fix it, nerf this bonus and increase rewards for high lvl raids.

The second way to fix it is to split alliance raiding into two.
One would be for old irrelevant alliance raids and the other one would be for the newest ones.
That way both roulletes will be played.

I'm loving the assumption some posters are making that basically imply that those of us who reduce our ilvl are crap at the game and don't want a challenge. News flash, no 24 man raid is challenging, they're all braindead. The "difficulty" is in the unknown skill level of the other alliances who can't press buttons in the right order, or stand where they are supposed to, and cause you to waste 2 hours of your time wiping to Cid in 2 separate instances before calling it quits.

I would love to be able to run Orbonne, I really would, but the sudden decline in average player quality since Shadowbringers released has made it incredibly unlikely.

Oh but it's easier to call people free loaders and bad players than to accept the fact that most do the roulettes and expect them to be done quick and efficiently. That isn't going to be the case with the higher level raids especially Orbonne and as you point out it's why many elect to not have to deal with it.

Personally I call the people who do it SMART and in my book they certainly are.

After all is said and done Alliance doesn't yield all that much experience to have to spend over an hour trying to get it done.

Even when something like Orbonne is run perfectly by an amazing alliance, it still takes way too long compared to LotA/ST.

Who the heck wants to be in Orbonne for 2hrs because you have clueless people in one alliance. At least in the ARR 24man, the clueless can only turn 12min run into like 15 or 20mins. People aren’t lazy they just don’t want to waste their time.

Thats why the rewards should be really big.
Take the data across all runs, average out the time spent and give rewards high enough according to this data.
Thats all they should really do, just make them worth doing.

Well, at least I know the mentality of this community a little better and it explains why it took me a solid week to get my alt through the lvl 70 raids. I mean, I knew Crystal was becoming the ultimate casual place but I didn't think people feared a little challenge this bad. I honestly think they need to separate the raids. Maybe create an expert raid roulette for the dungeons that are apparently too much for the community to handle and just leave the easier ones in its own roulette.

Nah, there are people who are still queueing into them without cheesing the ilvl. Splitting it will just make it even harder to get the ones that people want to avoid. The only one that I've seen that is kinda awful is Orbonne; honestly just Cid and maybe Construct from Rido but that was also true when it was current. The rest of them are overgeared or you can limp your way to victory so they have a decently high success rate from what I've seen. They could just buff the rewards of the previous expansion ones while using the roulette.

Its not needed. Players are just wanting to see players languish in content to the point that they stop. Cause they won't even use such roulette themselves. They say they would, but its a lie.
