Need advice with chocobo breeding

Hello!

So i'm in near the final steps of breeding to get a pedigree 9 chocobo, and to my unluck the rank 8's i've used to breed gave me 8 females and 2 males chocobo, one of which got the worst stars in every single slot so i ended up having to discard that one and the other turned out to be average. Meanwhile i ended up with some pretty good female options (3 of them were missing only missing 3 stars overall to be maxed, and i've raised one to 40 and retired already).

Right now i'm unsure if it's worth for me to cross breed (and hope for the best) or just flat out spend mgp to get a good male for breeding cause i'm wondering if the lower stats on the male will kinda interefe a lot with the female so yeah, can anyone help me? for reference these are the current stats on both chocobos

I'd suggest breeding the ones you have, one at a time so that if one of the offspring is an improvement to their same sex parent you raise them to 40 and replace them immediately. The likely hood of buying a permit with stats better than the male seem very low to non-existent. Good luck one the maximum speed though, that's gonna hurt.
