Ok I get to the last boss and I messed up.. so I looked up a guide and now know what to do.. I retry from floor 41 telling people I can share tactics when we get to the boss.. but people pull so much and get us wiped before we even get to it

I am tank and my son healer.. we would love for two people to help us out with this if possible.

What are your aetherpool levels? If you are struggling try restarting from the first floor and increase your aetherpool, as the higher you can get them the easier you can cheat a lot of the mechanics from the bosses.

If they're starting from 41, boss at 50 is Edda, and I don't think you can cheat those mechanics. Getting hit by aoe charges the room-wide skill, which will wipe if charged enough. I mean, I haven't played much of PotD. Maybe at 99/99 it's a different story (though I think at some point you're capped/synced?). But it did seem kinda unforgiving to me.

Can relate to OP, tho. Took me several attempts to get grouped with people that were at least competent enough to pull it off. Several wipes, at boss or before, from players not really understanding they ought to take things a little more careful on those floors. And ffs, quit opening chests during a fight, don't move around so much during a fight, and stay with the group. Spawning extra mobs or mimics can be devastating.

Thanks for the tips.. I have swapped to Red Mage and will grind my weapon out.

The reason I am doing it is so I can then get into Heaven-on-high.. can I get those 50 needed floors solo?.. I only just realised I can do palace on my own - facepalm.

Palace of the dead solo is very challenging you and your son could possibly Duo it
but it wont be easy

I managed to get this done in a pug grp today, I explained the tactics, and we did it first try with no deaths.. am very happy now.
