I was wrong. It's 200 Tenacity = 1% Damage Mitigation, 1% Damage Gain. Still pretty OP thou at 2000 Tenacity, you gain 10% damage Mitigation, 10% Damage Gain.

Thats not how tencity works, iirc having 2500 tenacity only equals like 6% mitigation, some has the maths in the tank gear thread.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMOVb-x6xr4

Onto the actual thread topic: If you're using your toolset properly there is 0 need for tenacity melds at all, the amount the game gives you is more than enough even when avoiding it, as you can survive everything without melds pretty handily, even in savage currently while under geared. Your healer won't notice a sizeable difference, so its better off dumped in an offence stat. Tenacities healing also only effects your own healing, not healing recieived
Savage Completion Rate ~5%+ of active players. Community: "Ugh stop catering to savage"
Ultimate Completion Rate ~1% of active players. Community: "Ugh stop catering to the hardcore raiders"
Frontline/ Rival Wings/ Hidden Gorge Mount Aquisition ~0.05-1% of active players. Community: "Ugh PVP is so dead in this game, they should stop investing in it"
Blue Mage Morbol Mount Aquisition ~0.01% of active players. Community: "WoW bLuE mAgE iS sO fUn AnD aCtIvE i CaN't WaIt FoR mOrE lImItEd JoBs"
Sorry to break it to you, but Direct Hit is only good if your raiding where you have to meet DPS Checks. It does nothing for Expert Roulletes when your doing large pulls with a Healer you just met 10 seconds ago lol.Thats not how tencity works, iirc having 2500 tenacity only equals like 6% mitigation, some has the maths in the tank gear thread.

Unless you can provide a video showing proof Tenacity is not 200 Tenacity = 1% damage increase, 1% damage mitigation, all your doing is trolling mainly the OP who is asking a legitimate question.
I also tested this myself when Eureka Anemos first showed up. After acquiring the Eureka Anemos Armor with 5 materia slots, i loaded it with Tier 6 Direct Hit and Crit on my PLD. Then i swapped it with Tenacity and Determination. My Damage barely fell but my Mitigation increased by a lot. It made Expert Roullete with randoms so much easier for me and the healer lol.

Ok, I'm breaking my silence for this one.
People have tested this, they tested it back when Tenacity was introduced in Stormblood and when it was updated in ShB. You need egregious amounts of Tenacity for it to make any tangible difference, to the point where just melding an extra 200ish does nothing for you.
And just to set the record straight: If a build works in SAVAGE, the hardest content the game throws at you, it absolutely works just fine in more casual content. Just use cooldowns and you'll survive anything a basic EXR can throw at you. I've melded to the point where I have over 3k crit and 1k Dhit, and yet somehow I've managed to not die in EXR. Weird.

Most ppl who do savage have Statics/Parsers/Food Buffs/Potions/Watched a Guide/a certain Ilvl requirement.Ok, I'm breaking my silence for this one.

Your the type of tank who loads direct hit on his gear then does wall to wall pull then gets angry if he dies or complains the PUG healer is not dpsing at all lol.
Clearing Savage is not hard at all. Did you not see all the ppl clearing it in one day? lol. Probably more ppl would be clearing it too if the rewards actually have any worth other than to show it off.

Way to put words in my mouth, friend. Most ppl who do savage have Statics/Parsers/Food Buffs/Potions/Watched a Guide/a certain Ilvl requirement.

If I die I laugh it off and pull small. Not that it happens anyway because the vast majority of healers in this game can handle double pulls, and I only go wall to wall with friends. Example: that first room in Academia.
But by all means, make me the big evil raiding boogeyman you want to wave a finger at with your strawman arguments.
PS: You don't need to tell me what most savage raiders do and don't have. Been PF pugging Eden since Tuesday, hoping to knock out E2S tonight.

For the sake of this post. I don't do wall to wall pulls in expert roulette and really despise groups that do pull like that. I am looking to getting into Savage and ultimate groups for content and seeing that DPS checks are far more a thing than anything else really. I am not a true wow refugee in the sense that I have been playing both wow and FFXIV at the same time since 2.0. But I do know I have to adjust raiding mentality for FFXIV vs Wow. Difference being is that WoW has truly lost its luster for me and now that GNB is out and its rotational feel is what I have been looking for in a job and this game is hitting every stride I want in a MMO currently. (one last thing I want is romance options. But There is Fire Emblem and Dragon Age for that.) I want to take FFXIV raiding content more seriously instead of a side thing this time around.Sorry to break it to you, but Direct Hit is only good if your raiding where you have to meet DPS Checks. It does nothing for Expert Roulletes when your doing large pulls with a Healer you just met 10 seconds ago lol.

Sorry to hone in on a specific part of your post... but what?
why do you 'really despise' efficiency, if the players are up for it? This is literally the difference between a 15 minute run and a 25 minute run, both of which are mostly spamming AoE combos.
#notallraiders
This is a complete ME thing.
I don't play for the Efficiency of getting it over with as fast as possible That go go go mentality has bothered me even in WOW. I play the game for the enjoyment of the zones. The feel for the class. the boss fights. The music. The spamming of AOE abilities is really really boring to me. If I want good gear I go raid and attempt to do harder content than dungeons. The roulette's have been nothing more than something to pass the time with as gearing up through dungeons was never a issue or priority with me. The tombstones drop from all sorts of content and the rate of which I get them was never truly and issue for me.
Take Antitower zone for example. I will always take my time there because it is my absolute most favorite zone. The music gets me every time and the zone setting on your way to the castle is stunning.
I guess someone at my age the difference between 10-20 minutes is really negligible time to me. My play time is 1030 pm - 2am most week nights. Give or take 20 minutes doesn't mean much to me.
