    Game Reinstalling Itself

    I opened the client today, signed in and noticed the game status bar said it was downloading the game again. I don't recall deleting it and was just on it the day before.
    Did I not do something correctly when first installing it? Thank you for the help!

    If the game is requiring you to redownload it, it most likely is having trouble reading the installation or the installation is corrupted. Has this happened again since you posted this?

    If the game client in question is the steam version - and only then - that's a thing that happens on a daily basis. Every crash/force close can lead to steam thinking the game is no longer installed, prompting a lengthy re-install. It sometimes just happens randomly. It is 100% a steam client issue.

    That's the reason why almost every steam service account boots the game directly via the exe or switched to the standalone client. An option that'll be impossible after aug 29 though. Which is a horrible decision, objectively speaking.
