FFXIV Boot Issue

Hi there,

I'm having issues starting the game.

I can start the Launcher fine and input my Username/Password fine.

It'll give me the Green Play Button.

When I press the Green Play Button nothing will happen. The launcher will still stay open and the game will not start.

I also notice if I close the launcher, Final Fantasy XIV still shows in my task manager using 20-30% CPU.

The game has been running fine up until this day.

Just want to add. Disabling my Virus protection does change a few things. When I press Play Button the launcher will close but the game will not start.

In task manager the game does still appear there using CPU.

Is there an error message that appears when the game freezes? How long have you been experiencing this problem? Could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

Hi there,

I don't get any error messages when I press Play. With Virus Protection On the Launcher stays open, Virus Protection Off the Launcher closes but no game and no error.

I look in Task Manager and see FFXIV using some resources.

This problem has only begun today.

I also rolled back Nvidia drivers just in case that was the problem, that did not fix anything.

Clean reinstall seems to fixed the issue. Possible corruption.
