So I'll just do all the jobs in a broad arc since I've done all of them. Ruling out the 80 quests because they're all just bridges to future job stories.

Dark Knight: There's a good reason why this is considered one of the best job stories. Outstanding mix of intrigue, complexity, little bit of humor, and a dash of grand moments throughout the whole storyline.

Paladin: Solid story, gives some interesting lore about Ul'dah and the Sultansworn. Probably better if you focus on it more and maybe redo all the cutscenes.

Warrior: Who'd think that Jekyll & Hyde could be brought into a rom-com? Somehow, the Warrior story pulls that off.

Gunbreaker: Pretty good story, and some interesting lore about the origins of both Gunbreaker and the region where the Hrothgar come from.

Dragoon: In a word, "kinda". 30-50 story is kinda cool, 50-60 story is kinda interesting, and 60-70 story is kinda stupid.

Samurai: Samurai story to me felt like a roller coaster that broke after going down the first ramp. 50-60 story was really good, but 60-70 story felt like such a letdown.

Monk: The 60-70 story was probably the single biggest letdown for any specific level range mostly because this was their expansion (sorta) and we had their homeland. That being said, all other parts of the story are pretty good, and as far as I've seen, the best level 80 story quest.

Ninja: I think this story gets better and better with each level range. In fact, the only reason why I'd level it to 80 is just to see that story quest at the end.

Bard: Bard for me wins the award consistently for "worst story questline ever". It's almost mildly intriguing at the start and then just snowballs out of mediocrity and into the realm of near-incoherence. In fact, the slogan for any Bard questline is "there's a song somewhere in there".

Machinist: Fun story about innovation and revolution, although I might have to go over the story cutscenes again with all the changes to the job.

Dancer: As a student of anthropology, this story just made me more curious about Thavnair. On one hand, we have the fun Middle-Eastern look for Thavnairian, but then they throw in these German terms, so it left me considerably more confused about the neutral nation. Regardless of that, the Dancer story is pretty good, and does its task of explaining the origins of the job.

Black Mage: I mostly like because it's a story influenced by Judeo-Christian concepts that seems more reflective of that first-time experience in an S&M parlor. If you want to experience that feeling of joining a cult without having to worry about what's in the punch, then this story's definitely for you.

Summoner: It's one of those stories that has to grow on you as you go through the main story, and gets better for me the more I look back on it. That being said, I think it has the dumbest level 80 quest of all the jobs I've gotten to max level.

Red Mage: It's fun, it's shockingly macabre, it has a charming older catboi who comes off as SUPER creepy, and probably the second best only to Dark Knight for overall job story.

White Mage: Good bit of lore about the Padjal in an interesting story about animism. No matter how much people go "they have all holy spells so we can get Geomancer now", White Mage will ALWAYS have ties to that theme of nature, the story does a good job of reminding us of that fact (even at level 80).

Scholar: As a lala player, I do have an absurd amount of bias in favor of the Scholar story. It does an outstanding job of explaining origins for both Nym and the Tonberries. It also has Lalafells, so there's that.

Astrologian: If we ever get Geomancer, I REALLY want their story to be like the Astrologian story, where while we had them before we could play them, what we got was far better and more interesting that what we saw in past content. Another pretty good story about a job from a land we can't go to yet, but it's another one that I need to look through again with the changes to the job. And speaking of which....
Looking at the changes to Astrologian, I'm far less convinced that we'll get Geomancer than we are to get Time Mage.
