Savage Raiding

With this expansion being the first I have actually been here for the start of I was excited to start the savage raids. Day one savage release I made a PF for a blind run that I really enjoyed, there was no salt only learning. But I have a life, we got only so far before I had to go!

Now the PF is filled with E2s and I'm told that if more than four people have cleared then no chest will drop! Why is that a thing!? There's only a few in my LARGE fc who have an interest in raiding and trying to get time we all have together is near impossible to do every week for these raids. So why is it that if I want loot I HAVE to have a static because my friends who have actually cleared this week cannot come do it with me or I get no loot? Who thought that was a good idea? Why is it not like Eden normal where u roll on one thing each an ur locked out for the rest of the week? I want to play with my fc members and have fun. I want to be able to join a pt finder and not worry too many have cleared it. I've farmed plenty titania and innocence with my fc members, we had a blast laughing in Eden and getting our loot. Why is the savage version so awkward and unfun?

To answer the simple question of "Why is the loot system like this?"

The answer is because if they didn't put the restrictions on there, the system would be ripe for people to sell loot to others, potentially for real money.

Don't forget that each clear you get for the week, regardless of who was with you, will get you a token that you can use (once you accumulate enough) to purchase gear from there (unless that's changed too? idk). The only thing with weird limits are the actual loot drops.

Honestly I couldn't care less if someone decides to pay to get through that content, I've seen people selling the ex runs already. If they want to do that it's their bad decision to make. It doesn't affect me negatively in any way them having that gear. It doesn't stop SE getting their sub money either. Just seems like they penalise people that honestly just wanna get through the content without a good reason. RMT isn't gonna go away, it's in every MMO ever but at least in this MMO its not a huge negative someone buying a clear. It's not like my old game where these carries = them beating my ass in PvP due to massive gear disparity. I'm jus here to do dungeons etc I haven't even touched this games PvP yet actually.. xD

Not everyone gets their clear on day 1. If you make a PF saying 2 chests, you should be able to find people who haven't cleared.

Also I'd focus more on just getting your first clear before worrying about drops. After that, you can join the early in the week 2 chest pfs and get your drops.

You don't need a static to get your chests. Pretty much pugged most of the raids throughout the expansions and had no issues finding groups who needed their weeklies. If the players in your FC are doing their runs without you and you still want all the chests to appear when you run with them, then that's not much of a static is it.

So people who have cleared cant sell loot to specific character.

It doesn't stop SE getting their sub money either.

It does, people gear out and unsub until new content drops.
