    Failure of dps checks = wipe is simply required, else you could just stack healers/tanks and slowly whittle bosses down. Both short term dps checks (usually in the transition phases) and long term (kill boss before enrage timer) have their place.

    And I'm against the idea of different rewards. You either defeat the content as a group and get rewarded with loot or you fail. And HOW you measure dps is going to be an ugly can of worms. How do you account for different gear levels, jobs and party comps? How do you account for how many buffs like dance partner someone gets from others versus their individual peroformance? What if one healer gets stuck doing most of the healing gcds and the other pretty much dpses full time? What if if someone ELSE flubs a mechanic that gets you killed? Or you get targeted by rng mechanics more often and lose uptime?

    It's just not a good idea. Measuring dps is a good tool for comparison and self improvement but not as an objective measure to base algorithm on for rewards.

    EX and Savage are the only fights in the game with enrages. Wait for echo if you're that bad.
