    People really need to accept that there is content in this game that is simply just not for everybody. By trying to accommodate something like this for players the content is just not suited for (lower-skilled players), you will effectively ruin the content.

    I'm sorry OP, but this is a very, very bad idea. We need to get away from this "casuals first" mindset. It will just dumb down the game...

    Then highest ilvl gear acquisition would be way too easy. And too easy=boring.

    If you can't beat a dps check the you either:

    1. Need to aquire better gear and meld the right materia for your job.

    2. Work on your dps rotation to get the best dps possible for your job.

    If you failed getting your drivers license would they still give it to you? Hell no.

I was even going to write some logical rebuttals for you but this right here...yeah I'm not gonna bother. I'm just gonna go with a straight up, big fat "no" and leave it at that. My mistake was posting in this thread in the first place, should've just hightailed outta here after reading your post.

    Based on how many ppl are clearing the new raid in 1 day, i say the new raid is extremely easy if your using:

    1.) 3rd Party Apps
    2.) Statics
    3.) Voice Chat
    4.) Food Buffs/Potions/Stat boost potions

    These guys didn't even need to watch a 45 minute Mr Happy guide for it 5 times lol.

    The whole point of the dps check is to make sure the party is skilled enough to survive through the mechanics and able to dps consistently during it. There are several dps/mechanic checks during the fight, should your group be able to clear if you're not able to pass any of them? The rewards for clearing said fight is getting the highest tier of gear, which does make those checks more lenient as you clear each week, but if this is the hardest tier of current content, why trivialize your first clear with inflated ilvls. The game already has a normal version of each fight if you need something easier or want to avoid the enrage/dps checks.

    Also, SE doesn't care whether or not you use a parser as long as you're not making it obvious to anyone else that you're using one. Not to mention, you don't need a parser at all to clear since the fights were designed without those in mind and the game has systems like sky, sea, stone for each savage fight to see if you're doing enough dps.

    theres a difference between dps race and players forcing every player to use 3rd party programs or get bitched at.

    This is the video game equivalent of a participation trophy. The player base already has a problem with having no idea how to play their jobs, we dont need the small area of challenging content in the game dumbed down to keep fostering more of these types of players.

    Dps checks/enrages will never go away because it's not only a means to gauge how you're performing as a group bit it's also the foundation for theory crafters.

    There is nothing rewarding about randomly hitting whatever buttons you want and still winning because people cant be bothered to take a few minutes to learn their jobs. All you'd be doing is turning bosses into loot pinatas. That content already exists and they are called dungeons. So that's a no from me. Chief.

    I would have agreed with this post if what you were really looking for is more interesting gameplay. But then you asked for a participation trophy, and I'm going to have to say no. If you didn't clear, you didn't clear.
