Option for Dropping Ground AOEs where the mouse is placed

One of the things that I've wanted to see but hasn't really been implemented is the option to have ground aoes (shadowflare, sacred soil, salted earth, etc) automatically drop wherever you place your mouse.

Maybe it's just me, but it feels really clunky to gcd clip when clicking the skill, making sure the aoe is selected (It's very picky sometimes when it wants to show up) and the marker is indicated on the floor, and having to manually click where to drop it.

It would feel much smoother if you could just tap the skill's hotkey and it just automatically drops wherever your mouse is.

At the very least it would feel smoother then the current click skill -> confirm it's highlighted -> move mouse to where to put it -> click again to confirm and then go back to dpsing.

That'd be cool, reminds me of some of the smart casting options in MOBAs. Like if you press and hold the hotkey you can move the aoe marker around, when you let go it casts at location of mouse. Right clicking cancels. Therefore in a quick situation a key press and release means a cast at mouse as if that's how the spell always worked, but you don't lose the ability to place it- which I personally like. Could of course add the option to have it go to target (at the target's feet), but I'd want that to be an option for sure (so I can still place stuff).

Back when SCH had shadowflare I did the same thing, it only worked half the time. It was nice when it did work, but it only worked when it wanted to

yes i would really like if they could improve this mechanic. other games use similar aoe abilities and they have the option to "double click/press" the skill and it automatically goes to where your mouse courser is currently pointing.
i do also use macros for such abilities, but even with a macro its a bit "clunky" and sometimes doesn't go off immediately.

There is a macro to place it at your mouse but it's kinda of clunky and unreliable, you pretty much have to spam it. I do wish this game had a better macro system.
