I'm tired of being told to wait for post-patches and expansions for fixes and increased healing requirements that are never coming. Healers are not fun in all forms of content like all jobs should be, they're replaced by tanks and dps due to low healing requirements and their dps kit is small for 0 reason, when in the past we had more options and handled things just fine. I refuse to play healer in roulette come DT. I refuse to heal EXs, I refuse to go into Savage, and I am boycotting Ultimate.

Is it sad that I feel like even if they actually bring it up, it'll just be handwaved with a "We created Sage for higher level players who want to focus more on DPS, please go try it out!" and then they'll move onto and ignore every other part of the question.
To which I will tell them to their face: SGE is a clone of SCH and Noct AST and there is no difficulty in the job. AST actually has more difficulty and that's only because its a high APM job with its card system being so clunky with 4 separate button presses instead of just 2.
SGE could have been a more difficult healer if it was still barrier focused but if you wanted to burst heal you had to use dps to do so, but the only dps to heal button we have is Kardia. We don't have an Assize or 5, where we press abilities and it heals the party/tank while also doing damage. Just a "buff" we put on the tank so any and all damage we do is the equivillant of embrace.
Is it fun? To me no. SGE is just a less frustrating to understand SCH.

Can WHM go back to conjuror? I liked the idea of a druid/nature caster, then it all turned into vague white fuzzy crap.I'd take a slower queue if it meant getting some of the fun back any day of the week. Give my WHM back their Stoneskins, Protect, and Aero 3. Give SCH back Selene, Virus, Eye for an Eye, Miasmas and Shadowflare. Give AST back it's old card mechanics and Disable.
Let us have our fun back.
I'd like to hear their design mindset behind why Thin Air actually needed nerfing while Astrodyne needed to give extra mana. Why they believe Cure III is too good and deserved only 50 potency and no extra range from the trait. Why Star needed to be 30y but no other healer ground target ability. Why they feel Lilies only deserve 2 heals while Adders/Aetherflow get 4 each and what advantages they feel lilies have over them. Why the team believes Piety is a fun stat and doesn't deserve any added damage. Why they felt extra filler buttons on AST was a good step forward. Why they felt charges on Assize would impact WHM gameplay negatively. What advantages they feel Tetra has over Essential Dignity. Why they felt WHM only getting mp recovery tools after 50 is balanced. Why Dissipate should cancel Place and Seraph should lock out Blessing and Union. What purpose they feel Undraw serves. Whether they believe Cure I is an endgame spell and the mindset behind keeping Freecure instead of upgrading Cure I to II and lowering its cost to 700...
And so on. You get the idea. I'd like the developers to have an interview where someone can compile every one of those baffling questions regarding how they design healers, sit down with them, have every one answered and actually hear how their thought process on those things works.
I quit near the end of Stormblood and didn't even pull WHM out for Shadowbringers. From what I'm seeing, there's no reason for me to actually try playing the role again.
This is how I'd clean it up. Lets crowd source this thing so we can get the best question we can get:
Healers are feeling increasingly irrelevant and boring due to the lack of damage to heal and lack of damage options to use, and this has gotten worse in Endwalker.
Incoming damage does not match the strength of healing power output and the lack of anything to do except press glare/broil/malefic/dosis makes them very boring to play.
Question: Are there any plans to increase the amount of healing required in all content?
- Asphodelos First Circle (Normal) have been solo cleared by Warrior, Paladin and Gunbreaker
- Aspholedelos First Circle (Savage) has also been cleared with a team of 8 warriors, without a healer
- Both current Extreme trials have been cleared without healers.
- Dungeons are increasingly being farmed for tomestones or loot by 1 tank and 3 dps.
- Eden's Gate Sepulture (Savage) was cleared without healers when it was current content.
- Delubrum Reginae was beaten solo, without a healer
- The Ultimate Coil of Bahamut was cleared with 8 tanks and no healers. The hardest content in the game was completed without healers.
Notes:
Fixed the first sentence
Removed the damage question from the second. This was answered in the pre-endwalker live letter. They are committed to a simplified healing model, they have refused to go back to the ARR / Heavensward model
General cleanup.

I mean if you are a masochist you should go for it. If you lvl all healer before whm you actually feel like you lose brain capacity because it’s so mind numbingly boring in comparison to all the other healer jobs. You miss so many tools as ogcds that the other healer have on like 30-60 second cd and then whm has these on like 90 seconds or 180 seconds.
No but I've considered it.
Not because the job itself sucks but because of the absurd range of opinions on how to play your job. Sometimes you'll get a dungeon and trial and get 3-7 comms as a healer and then 5 minutes later in the next dungeon you get a tank who refuses to keep pull. After that you get to wash it all down with a nier raid where a DPS tries to chew you out for using rescue on them when they already have 5 vuln stacks and were about to be crushed under a giant sawblade.
