I still haven't quit healing, I still don't plan to. Are healers perfect? Of course not, that's literally impossible. I do have some things I'd like adjusted on WHM, like a replacement for Aero 3 and just upgrading Cure 1 to Cure 2 as simple examples (there are more things) but overall I don't have any real issues.
The complaint isn't that healers aren't perfect. It's that they aren't even decent. And that's not a literally impossible ask.
I haven't quit yet but I have dropped WHM and SCH when 6.0 trailer showcased 0 changes. They are staying at 80 until they get some love.
AST... your only saving grace is you are high APM.
I don't like ES's change. Its too big and feels clunky. I don't like that Synastry STILL doesn't interact with anything other than Benefic 2. I don't like Benefic 1 doesn't trait upgrade to 2. I don't like how Astrodyne pretty much replaces Lucid Dreaming for me when we didn't have issues with mana after the Draw changes. Hells I don't like ASTRODYNE. The seals system is dumb get rid of it and bring back some diversity to the cards.
And SGE... I called it being a SCH clone when they said it was a shield healer. Thanks for proving me right SE, you truly have no vision for healers and it shows.
I'm tired of being told to wait for post-patches and expansions for fixes and increased healing requirements that are never coming. Healers are not fun in all forms of content like all jobs should be, they're replaced by tanks and dps due to low healing requirements and their dps kit is small for 0 reason, when in the past we had more options and handled things just fine. I refuse to play healer in roulette come DT. I refuse to heal EXs, I refuse to go into Savage, and I am boycotting Ultimate.

During top-end content they all use the same handful of recolored OGCDs to respond to infrequent spike damage.
The remaining 95% of the fight is spend using literally one filler nuke with all of your GCD uptime, this is mandatory for progress not an option so we're doing it anyway.
I'm not trying to insult anyone, but literally what is anyone getting out of this role? Just something easy to take to storylines? Is this the future of healing in this game?
I feel like someone who raided Molten Core on a Frost Mage in the past is gonna roll a healer in this game and wind up with PTSD.

This made me chuckle but at the same time it is a frighteningly accurate comparison. Healer gameplay is currently just vanilla WoW frostmage, are we really okay with healers being stuck in 2004?

This is fine if the cast and recast times of the normal and lily spells are set to be the same as their counterparts. Eukrasia was annoying at the start; if you failed to activate it you could cancel the cast of the unaugmented spell if you were casting on the move, which was annoying. While I have the Eukrasia timing down now, you have no control over the lilies in this situation; as such, in those day 1 alliance runs, I'd like the cast time of my aoe GCD heal to be consistent.
well ast is another whm clone use to be for both sch and whm xd, now ast is fully 100 whm better clone. sge actually imo is more a upgraded noct ast cause ast had instant shields which is what sage has when augumented. sch gotta cast theirs. one thing sch win sage on which i need them to address is for us to have bigger aoe type party migi similar to how dt for sch is or like noct ast celestial + field stack. but i suppose using the spells to increase potency heal can in a way eurka prog big. The developers most certainly are, and so are a lot of other people it seems; solution: Don't play, play another role, or play ultimate. Those are the official statements from the Director of FF14 himself.
Harsh as theg may sound i technically agree if people wanna dps more than heal or not heal at all well the answer always been there tank or dps role.
