Mistake of applying to wrong world server

It's my fault for not making sure of my decision and checking back to see if everything went through, but I may have made a huge mistake.

When the World server transfers were live, I chose Ragnarok as the server I would go to, not knowing that it was going to be considered an EU server. If I knew this information at the time, I would have not chosen it as I live in the US. I am perfectly happy to go back to my current default server so I am able to stay with my friend's and linkshell, but any other server including the default option and the default server itself, it reads "full".

I tried contacting support and I got a very unhelpful support Agent named "Paul Y" who only stated that "The issue is currently being looked into" and disconnected which was pretty unprofessional and made me worry even more.

Had I known this was going to happen, I would not of even attempted to do anything and let the system take care of it instead (default world server). Now I am stuck going to an EU server where I won't know anyone.

Is there a way to fix this? I would love to keep playing this game, I have had little to no issues with this game until now, but if I am forced to go to a server where English is not a common language and I don't know anyone, I will in turn, be forced to quit.

Ragnarok is not an EU server. It is a EU-recommended server.

    Oh those Americans..

GB is part of Europe, guess which language they speak. And pretty much every French, German, Spanish or Polish player who plays FFXIV speaks English to a certain degree, how do you think they managed playing on multi-lingual servers the past year..?

    Also, as Coldfire said:
It's EU recommended. Some NA shells are moving there, some Japanese shells too.

Regardless of the languages, the fact that I just want to stay my own DEFAULT server option and I can't do it, is something that I think should still be an option..

    Kisuke,

While we do apologize that you are now having second thoughts about the server transfer that you opted into, unfortunately the FINAL FANTASY XIV Forums are not the appropriate avenue to address these concerns. The official forums are for the discussion of technical issues only, which this issue is not.

Please feel free to contact the SQUARE ENIX Support Center for your region to discuss your options in this matter.

The SQUARE ENIX Support Center for North American accounts can be found at this link:

As this thread is not related to the discussion of a technical issue, we have gone ahead and had it closed.
