Would you find 5 really dedicated people to support keeping them sounding like cardboard? We had maybe 2 in this thread and they've already stopped trying for the most part. If it was kept alive by just randoms and nothing else, it would've already died. Not to boast particulars too but.... I don't think someone exists here that would go to the effort of making a poll or a twitter in an effort to support keeping something that was crap to begin with.

It really only takes one to keep a thread up.Would you find 5 really dedicated people to support keeping them sounding like cardboard? We had maybe 2 in this thread and they've already stopped trying for the most part. If it was kept alive by just randoms and nothing else, it would've already died. It was an admirable fight, I suppose, but I think everyone would be happier moving on.

Yoshi is exactly waiting for that. This is awful and there is no way we will move on. Changing blade sound effects to a club is an absurd. As person above mentioned we have basically nothing to lose.
Wrong.
As someone said, that's exactly what they want out of us. To give up.
Same, reddit is full of trolls most of the time as is.I will keep sending in game feedback. I'd rather not post on reddit as last time I did I got attacked quite harshly for even mentioning it and that's not something I want to deal with atm. But I still support the sfx revert with a passion and still support this thread! I really REALLY miss the 5.0 sounds (my poor blasting zone T-T). I just hope SE can change them back for us sooner rather than later.

491 people voted in poll and 421 want 5.0 sounds back. That's certainly more than 5. There is also reddit, discord, 4chan, twitter, and game itself. Wherever you ask most people prefer 5.0 sound effects. And this should be a reason for a change. Do we really need to create an uproar to force a fix for an obvious issue?
Lots of people don't actively participate because they probably believe that Yoshi P doesn't really care about feedback, which is not wrong as you can see in this case, but new sound effects are really awful. I don't know, maybe in Japan they use blunt and poorly balanced blades, but also western people play it, and we want blade to sound like a blade. I know this is fantasy, but i have never heard about fantasy world where they use blunt swords.
New sound effects are total design failure and i'm not going anywhere. Even if i'm wasting my time i'm not going to give up.
While I see the point you are trying to make, you need a better example. Just because of handful of people keep this thread bumped, that doesn't mean only that many people care. Many people, myself included, may not post often, but we still keep an eye on the issue and care. The poll alone shows that there are more than just a handful. If anything, now is the time to make even more noise because we know that they are watching and looking for our continued feedback about this. They didn't say that they cannot or will not revert. The important thing is to continue to provide calm feedback and treat them with respect.
Besides, the people that didn't like the SFX at release were not told to wait and see if they ended up liking them. It took the devs two weeks to change them due to what seems to be LESS feedback than what we have now.

The only people who know why the change occurred is SE. Given how many little requests get ignored, do you honestly think a forum thread that didn't reach two pages of length caused a change?
