I mean, you don't have to lie. It does exist, just like practically anything modders do exist because you could copy paste a picture of Elmo through their devices onto a Roegadyn's head and make it a thing. It's just the fact no one who plays FFXIV is supposed to use mods, I know may do regardless and they just don't bring it up because of this exact situation though. It's only an offense when you either admit to using them or you give data on how people can obtain them. Similarly to if you gave players an advertisement on how to hack FFXIV, it's just a case/measure to prevent players from breaking ToS at the source. They just removed the posts so players won't get banned for using mods in game and etc and wagged their fingers at the players suspended to let them know not to show authors and mods and all that.

They can ban me right now for saying this but it's a fact, there are mods of the GNB SFX just as there are prolly mods of dresses/outfits from other games or something along those lines. I don't use em, I don't condone anyone using them and breaking the ToS, and I'm not giving out any location or information where to find any of it. But they exist, just like anything taboo you don't talk about at parties. It's wrong to talk about murder at a party, it doesn't mean it doesn't happen/exist though. In any case, just be smart fellas, have faith they will say at least SOMETHING about this at the SFX question thread. Even if it's just "no".

Any discussions pertaining to files I do not own, I keep those conversations to locations like twitter and reddit. no need to take a risk. It translates as well as you show it lol. The difference between "it totally doesn't exist at all lul" vs "it doesn't exist" :P But yeah, I'm hoping for that as well.

Yoshida cited the Gunblade issue because of how he changed because a lot of people didn't like the initial Gunblade but after changing it, he also get a lot of comments saying that some preferred the newer gunblade SE.

Yoshida then commented that players have the tendency to develop a bias where players will stick to the voice they feel comfortable and any changed disrupted the "used-to" feeling that they have developed over time.
Therefore Yoshida commented that people should give it time and get used to the voice first, if people STILL couldn't get used to it after all and request changes, then they can comment and request it.
Do note that you are free to comment about the SE changes not just in OF but other venues like Reddit, they do read them.

So basically they have read and know this thread and other posts from other forums regarding the gunblade sfx but because they are afraid of changing back to the original and getting people saying they prefer the new one again they are doing a wait and see approach and if players still can't get used to it they will revert the gunblade sfx back to the original.

Wow, it's just like their response to every single DRK feedback thread in 4.x.
"Please give it time, wait and see."

Nothing will change, they'll just drag their feet and kick the can further and further down the road.
