Prominent slicing sounds were included in a lot of hits before the change. People complained about that so now here we are.Does anybody have actual video or audio of the original sounds? I never picked up GNB until after the changes, so I'm not sure what they sounded like before. I'm okay with the current sounds, but if the original ones sound better I'll agree with changing the audio back.
"We want fat swishing sounds! Pool noodles or bust!" - (Not) GNBs
"Granted, but now you have louder explosions. (And, you guns will sound more like cannons.)" - Devs.
I wonder what 6.0's Corrupt a Wish will be...
Holding out some more hope for news in the live letter. I really want to play GNB, but I literally cannot stand the main combo's sfx. That problem alongside having the light badass original sounds for all of it's tank CDs and gap closer make it feel really freaking strange.
So any news in the live letter or still nothing ?
Considering how much they waved with even the actual job notes with things like "overall will be better" types of deals... I have a feeling gunbreaker SFX is a potential wipe under the rug. Prolly better not to cause unrest or people coming here going "AH FRICK" or some nonsense. So... there's still hope I guess?.. I really hope.... send in those suggestions @.@...
We should take all the GNB who liked the old sounds and the GNB who like the new sounds and put them in a giant frontline to fight to see which ones we get to keep.
Unfair, people who like new sounds are extremely outnumbered.
I'm excited yet stressed. Soon i will know can i finally play GNB after 3 months, or the only thing that is left is to discard all my gunblades. I'm not going to give up, but if devs really want to kill that job there is no reason to waste inventory space.
I still don't know what they were thinking with the current sound effects for Gunbreaker, especially for the Solid Barrel combo, people joked (myself included) about it sounding like a pool noodle, but after playing it for a while, I would say it sounds more akin to sawing through drywall, which is just about the most grating sound I could possibly think of, there is also a jarring difference with how your auto attacks sound and how your combo sounds. I even preferred the sounds of the old cartridge combo, with my only complaint being that they (fated circle included) were a bit quiet, especially the first hit of Continuation, everything else was fine, the current ones sound like cannon blasts instead of explosions. I honestly don't even know why Blasting Zone was touched.
I sincerely hope they change in 5.1, even back to the old ones, its gotten to the point where the sounds are so grating that I don't even want to play the job anymore, I remember a guy in the novice network being very upset over how the job sounds nothing like it did in the job action trailer.
In my opinion, the Solid Barrel combo is the sound you get when you go dust your futon. Which is to hang it on a pole and whack it with a stick. Although the sound you get depends on the said stick and it's shape...I still don't know what they were thinking with the current sound effects for Gunbreaker, especially for the Solid Barrel combo, people joked (myself included) about it sounding like a pool noodle, but after playing it for a while, I would say it sounds more akin to sawing through drywall, which is just about the most grating sound I could possibly think of, there is also a jarring difference with how your auto attacks sound and how your combo sounds.
