This is more-so my point about this migraine idea. It makes me doubt that's the case because we have plenty of sounds, either from jobs, bosses, dungeons, or anything really that have just as bad of effects to them and they weren't changed.
Iaijutsu makes the noises one time then you do others attacks with a longer window in-between each time. Iaijustsu has 7.5 seconds (no SkS) before it can be used with 1 seal and that's for the dot which you're not doing all the time. Then using all 3 seals, around 17 to 20 seconds.
Where as GNB has a 1 2 3 combo each of which was close 7.5 seconds SFXs, in rapid succession and usually repeated more than once.
Its not hear the sound once = instant migraine, its repeated exposer in a short period of time and sometimes over multiple combos. Just like a flashing or flicking lights or a holy spam.
A dead dps does Zero dps.
You're still using iaijutsu several times over the course of a fight, and for some people that's enough of the iaijutsu's high pitched sound effect to induce headaches. There's definitely still repeated exposure going on with it.Iaijutsu makes the noises one time then you do others attacks with a longer window in-between each time. You also reset your jutsu's and perform them again and the NIN has very piercing slashes for its main 1 2 3 combo. You're gonna have to be more specific here because all of the GNB's sound effects weren't that high and if theirs is enough, then NIN's is worse of a migraine for being even higher pitched.Iaijutsu makes the noises one time then you do others attacks with a longer window in-between each time. Yeah, but migraines are kinda weird. They can have very specific triggers, you never know what might trigger you, untill you get triggered.
Iaijutsu just must not have the frequency (in this case, the frequency I am referring to is how often the sound is) and pitch needed for a trigger. Plus GNB original sounds were louder, I think.
Maybe iaijutsu is enough to cause a headache, but not enough to cause the "I wanna puke" migraine.
As an ex-migraine sufferer (well, I still kinda do suffer from them, the worst symptoms don't happen anymore), I don't know why I am not triggered by other flashing lights, or why certain speeds of flashing can have no effect verses the ones that do trigger me. It just is what it is. I can't tell you what is or isn't gonna trigger me, until I experience it, and get triggered by it.

While I sympathize with the idea that certain sounds, including the original GNB sounds, may be triggers for migraines in certain people, I highly doubt that this was the cause of the sound effect change. Based on the logic being presented, any sound effect played with enough frequency could be a potential trigger for migraines in someone. Therefore, from a development point of view, you do your best to minimize the risks but you also have the understanding that SOMEONE may be impacted by any choice you make, therefore making it impossible to please everyone. I could just as easily make the claim that this new sound gives me migraines. Should they change it again to accommodate me? This is a very slippery slope and I very much doubt it was the cause of the change.
That being said, I want to be clear that I do not think the poster who mentioned migraines is lying. I'm just pointing out the potential flaw in the idea that this condition may have led to the SFX change initially.
The main issue with this post is also that everyone's "triggers" are subjective and different. What may be a loud, irritating, vomit inducing pitch to one person, may not another. Vice versa, so on and so forth. Even leaving Ninja out, there's plenty of sounds that likely cause people migraines that are repeated and were not changed in such a manner without any form of warning or indication other than "gunbreaker SFX have been altered". Also, we need to change the "I think's" to "it was" or etc.Yeah, but migraines are kinda weird. They can have very specific triggers, you never know what might trigger you, untill you get triggered.

Here's a video of the default 1-2-3 combo. Now... Idk about you, but I can't say that sounds higher in pitch than NIN's attacks. Those sound more ear piercing to me and they're just as frequent as the GNB's main combo.
Bump for us who refuse to accept the new sounds, send in those suggestion tickets again.
I keep sending suggestions weekly. Is it spam? Maybe. But it's about sending a message. They failed on multiple levels.
Sound design team shouldn't create club sound effects when they were ordered to create gunblade sounds, and no one with proper hearing should accept it for implementation.
I don't want to attack people who are neutral or just simply prefer new ones over old ones, but it cannot be denied that it doesn't sound right.
BIG mood. several messages each week about this should get he idea through I figure. Same also, I'm not particularly against people who prefer the new changes or neutral, but I don't know anyone who genuinely enjoys them other than ironically with the pvp club as you said.I keep sending suggestions weekly.
