It's sad to see that we have reached the point that modders have to fix the game for the devs.
But we are not giving up. It should be fixed on the server side.

Lol, when the comunity gets what they really wanted by his own hand, lovely, i wish every problem could be solved with mods.

Problem is this is not real solution. When they add new actions in 6.0 it will be mix of club and blade.
We need to keep up the pressure, otherwise they will see that there is no need to bother with anything if modders can fix it anyway.
While I cannot condone the use of mods, and recommend that no one ever does so, I am curious how such was achieved and if there might be hope for a complete 5.0 sound set. For education purposes only, of course. It's ridiculous that folks have to resort to such methods to enjoy the class as it was presented in reveal and job trailers.

If I had to guess, I'm fairly sure the potential author of this potential mod made it that way because he liked one or two of the new sounds better than the old ones, and probably tried to make a "perfect mix" between the old ones and the new ones. As for if it's possible to make a complete 5.0 sound set, the answer is most likely yes, and there may or may not be one that is planned already.
*cough cough*
EDIT: I also totally agree that we need to keep up the pressure, I am usually against mods but the new sound effects completely ruined the class for me which made me resort to that, but I indeed won't be able to do anything if the 6.0 sounds are more "club" sounding so we definitely have to show them that a large majority of Gunbreaker players wants the old sounds back.

Nope, that honor goes to another poster for just being a very smart theorist and nothing more clearly. Just gonna quote his brilliance as a reference.
I absolutely agree, they should at least respond to the crowd that's been in an uproar about this. This is only a band-aid on the real issue, even though it's a pretty dang nice band-aid this supposed author (which I'm convinced you're not him of course) has made. It is even possible they'll delay all of this until 6.0 and decide to rework all the sounds altogether...at least, that would be a hope if we don't get any word by then... WHICH I WOULD HOPE WE DO BECAUSE JFC SQUARE ENIX, WHAT DOES IT TAKE? If a 1-3 individuals can make this type of adjustment in less than a week, why cant you read this and do the same in months? =.= Makes me want to tear my hair out.If I had to guess, I'm fairly sure the potential author of this potential mod made it that way because he liked one or two of the new sounds better than the old ones, and probably tried to make a "perfect mix" between the old ones and the new ones. Having reviewed the audio files through a third party, the blend of old sfx with the new explosions actually sounds great together. I most certainly won't be using the supposed modification, but I can confirm through a third party that it's a vast improvement over the sfx we currently have available. Explosions aren't drowned out by dull blunt sounds.
I am absolutely going to keep petitioning them to fix the audio. It shouldn't have to fall on the players to fix what was promised to them (and taken away within two weeks.)
This isn't Bethesda softworks. I'll keep advocating every chance I get.

Oh yeah the black flames on the feet, years asking for a proper darkside aura with flames and edgy stuff and still we don't get it, even now they don't have any excuse since darkside is not a 100% stance anymore, i hope GNB never gets those leves of being ignored and gutted.
