I don't have a gnb, but listening now, the new sounds are awful. The old one sounded like a sharp blade "cutting" the air. The new one sounds like a blunt object "whooshing" through the air, kind of like the sound you get when you swing like a swimming pool foam noodle through the air. It's awful...
I was thinking about giving gnb a try someday, but now, nvm.
Oh and you know what the new sounds remind me of? Carve and Spit's sound for Darks. It's equally "whooshy" and doesn't fit the sound of a sharp blade cutting air.

If they layered the two sounds on top of each other it would be almost perfect. What we needed was the original slicey-dicey sounds with deep percussive gun shots.
All we really needed was our original sounds but take the explosion/trigger portions and up their volume specifically to match. Everything else was perfect (except fated circle, I welcome that one change). Here's to hoping, if anything they ignored the question in the live letter because they're clearly so aware of it that they're working on a fix for it.... ya know... hopefully.
No, the old sounds were too loud and obnoxious. Much happier with how it is now.
Nice troll, that was never a complaint from anyone and they're obviously louder and more obnoxious now with overdone explosions. If you're wanting to trigger someone, just go into the DRK threads and talk about how unique and intricate DRK feels.
I should probably feel mocked considering my post history, but honestly this is so real I just laughed out loud.
Then again, isn't getting triggered GNB's own identity with Continuation?

Nah just say "Continuation is what makes GNB as close to HW DRK as the devs could muster while they took the rest of DRK and filled it's husk with WAR designs"

Holding out hope for 5.08 tonight! If not tonight, maybe 5.1. If not 5.1 then probably never.
Patch notes are up. No GNB sound revisions listed.
