I'd rather the animation work that would be needed to add one gender's emotes to the other just be used for new emotes honestly.

That would probably put far more work on the devs than they've already got to deal with right now, so more than likely not going to happen. If they get around to it, fine. If not, no big deal.
This one is beyond your help. Only sleep can save her now.
At a glance I want to say certain stances will look a little off on the opposite gender. The healer idle pose for females for example. However I don't see an absolute reason why it couldn't be done beyond that. The Phantasy Star Universe games produced by SEGA permitted users to hold down an extra key while performing emotes to do those of the opposite sex. If SEGA can do it I don't quite know why SE can't permit it for certain ones.
She has already explained numerous times that it was poor phrasing on her part and that this is just a request for more options given to the players. People seriously need to dial back on the pitchfork mob mentality and actually discuss the topic at hand instead if trying to derail the thread. Seriously, enough.
I agree with the first five replies. This is a really silly request.
I don't see why the term "Gender equality" needs to be passive aggressively attached to this suggestion.Hi Everyone,
What I am really itching to see brought to FFXIV is the "Battle Stance" and "Victory Pose" emotes rolled out to both genders. I want the option to use both the male and female versions on 1 character that is male or female. "Battle Stance M" & "Battle Stance F" emotes could work nicely
Also while this is asked for, I would like to have the option to have Male or female idle stances with the weapon out, for this I wouldn't mind having to set this via the character menu.
We already know the emotes are pretty universal, as each race will use the same gendered emotes without a problem regardless of the size etc, so it should be easy to bring in for both genders, so that anyone can use any gendered weapon pose they want
I feel that in 2019 it would be a welcome addition to all players.
Nothing like saying "gender equality" to trigger all the oversensitive people.
Either way, I agree with the OP, it would be nice to have each gender's idle poses and stuff. I don't play DRK anymore, but the female idle pose is way cooler than the male one.
okay the headline of this is trolling
And here we have a lesson in choosing your words carefully, also a lesson in how to rile up sensitive folks.
All she is suggesting is opening emotes to more characters, this is not a bad thing.
