    Let's talk about king salmon

    It's the main ingredient in more than one of the new 450 culinarian recipes. Being a FSH main(lol), I thought we'd finally get something nice to go reel in. Lo' and behold, it's not something you can fish up. Instead, it's a CRAFTING white scrip item. SE, do you hate fishers? Why would you make fish be part of CLN recipes and then decide that nobody can gather it?

    Imagine SE doing something for fishers, they think sweetflesh oysters are enough. It's not like any other gathering class is easier or anything like that with less RNG so they have to gut fisher every expansion since HW.

    Eh, its expected a lot of the food stuff will up as a scrip item the same way we all know leather will end up as a tomestone item.

    On the flip side, the couple people who care about fishing on each server will get to hold dex classes hostage on crafted gear this patch.


    If only they had actually gotten shepherd released as a 4th gathering class... (not that this would solve fishing or anything)

    Just leveled my Culinarian to 80 and tried to make an item which needs King Salmon. Found out it cannot be gathered with my Fisher. My fisher is still level 70. Why in the Hell make it a white script item only ???

    I liked fishing but other for just a bit relaxing its absolutely worthless!!

    SE Please give fishers something to make some coin !!

    it was called Usunigu Octopus back near the end of Stormblood. it was super annoying. lol

    Hopefully with the upcoming Ocean Fishing we get some ways to make coin. Like maybe a new desynth chase since desyth was changed, we haven't had a good desynth fish since...ARR?
