They're only balanced dps wise.A lot of classes did not get touched

Now I know issue with Dark is playing like WAR,TBN and Living dead being awkward and magic tank = gimp tank
But can't expect major rework on savage patch day

DPS wise? Tanks are the most balanced they've ever been. That's not my issue, relative dps balance is such a side issue for me as a player and a consumer, just look at how people are reacting to the ninja changes. Sure, this brings them up from the bottom a bit, but doesn't even remotely touch the core issue with ninja's cohesive kit, or well lack there of.
You're doing something wrong, DRK can negate 25% of its max HP every 15s for basically no cost since you're refunded with the 3k mp you would use anyway on your oGCDs. So against bosses you always have TBN up to use alongside with another CD. Against pack you just have to time your CDs in between 2 TBN and keep abyssal drain to get a nice heal when you get low and you should not be in any danger unless the healer fell asleep.
DRK is not in a bad spot, it could use a slight dps bump but its not so far behind that you'd go out of your way to take another tank instead.
The gameplay is just not very thrilling.
Being a filthy casual I am, the only things about DRK I would change are Delirium, LD, and maybe slightly increase mana regen. Other than that I'm rather happy with it.
Instead of Dark mind only negating Magic dmg, perhaps changing it so it mitigates any damage, Ofc changing the amount it would mitigate ( reduced by a few %) . other then that i see atm nothing wrong with DRK (people argue about TBN, some people like it, some people don', ther a two camps atm, same for LD).
Compared to the Stormbloods Version i think this is a massive improvement.
Stormblood DRK simply felt awful in the way he was designed, and he was by far the weakest of the Tanks. With the amount of Off GCDs and some tools It has now it is almost a similar feeling of the HW version of DRK, But easier because you only have to manage one full combo and not 2-3.
This is more of a mini patch, expect changes in 5.1 -5.2 / this is more of a tidying up patch for jobs that were literal trash (Ast). There is more to come down the road I'm sure but tanks aren't exactly doing that bad right now.
Yeah.. I'm not feeling this either and I have mained DRK as my main tank since ShB. They are probably one of the easiest to actually tank with, I think gunbreaker is better though. By no means a "squishy" tank.
Isn't it agreed that WAR is the worst tank right now?![]()
