you mean this post ?
or this ?
It was another one that got deleted, I knew I should have screen it but my laziness got me. But again, my point is that we should ask the devs to improve all 3 healers instead of wanting AST and SCH to suck just because.
I was a SCH in ARR, HW and SB, so I know it was OP in HW and SB, because it's one of the things I lament (as I think I said in an earlier post, I don't wanna be OP, OP is boring). However, your opening post was saying Energy Drain will make it OP again as it isn't powerful enough to and hasn't, which was one of the inaccuracies as it's still behind WHM in this regard. Maybe you meant SE will end up making SCH OP again.1st post was exaggerated (that was my intention and I was ANGRY) but not many ppls realize it until now I guess ...
I would not call it attack, calling SCH op in SB expansion is not attack, is a fact, also I played as SCH in SB that was my main argument
I never ever said to nerf any other healer class, i was just suprised how some ppls defend thier OP class that all ...
Looking at your opening post, whatever your intention may have been did not come across, hence the reaction you got. I guess making angry posts/threads on forums can have that kinda risk, as well as the risk of lashing out. I can understand the disappointment at least, as the main people I play with are a WHM, MCH and MNK, so I'm used to hearing the disappointment from patch updates.Though of course MCH and MNK have since got some love.
the only post I deleted on this forum was answer about cards, after some1 asked how do I check how some astro shuffle cards ... with old system that all
it was answer "I look on buff icons" but it was kinda double post ...
I don't delete post that show me in black light
and before you ask that I have to much time spending on this forum, that some ppls may think and troling, im at work now, im cutting machine operator, after I change sheets of paper there I have 2 min free time so im watching what is happening on this forum :P
and yes my english is terrible sorry for that ...
If anything that shows how passionate you are about the game and specially WHM, not like I'm not browsing the forum while at work lol.and before you ask that I have to much time spending on this forum, that some ppls may think and troling, im at work now, im cutting machine operator, after I change sheets of paper there I have 2 min free time so im watching what is happening on this forum :P

It was a post on http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...d-Dismissive./
But I apologize for calling you out that meanly, bad wording from my part and probably miss understood, I'm just as heated with the healers mess (mostly AST).
I also find completely stupid how SE refuses to give WHM something to bring in terms of raid buff, a haste or anything, instead only more def on wings, we got to this position because of their stubbornness.

I can understood that (like I said I can sound arrogant some times :P) , like I said before in that thread I deleted post I answered for that postIf anything that shows how passionate you are about the game and specially WHM, not like I'm not browsing the forum while at work lol.

answer for that post was like "im checking icons that why I know lol" <--- I feel it was double post cause I anwered once for that post ...Did you personally monitor every single AST player and came to the conclusion that none of them ever royal roaded for potency or duration?
Who are you to say that 99% of the AST playerbase used only one or two cards?
Besides, wouldn't it have been simpler to just nerf Balance instead of making every single card a three times weaker balance?
It's because of people like you our role is dumbed down and we're told to be happy with it.
EDIT: you may not like new card system but for me seems better cause they removed RNG completlly ...
some times I may sound arrogant but o well ^^
EDIT 2: in dungeons im never whining when some1 do wrong with mechanics and even helping new players, I just like to bitching on forum some times ^^

The 5.05 fixes, since they can't be called buffs, for AST were indeed necessary, the class was a mess at launch but after this live letter, I can agree with you on the core message from this thread, AST players keep decreasing and decreasing, we all know AST over buffs are incoming, so we will end up where we started.
This is the reason why homogenization was the worst thing they could have done, when all 3 classes play the same, it'll boil down even more to who brings the bigger numbers, instead of playing what you enjoy even if it wasn't optimal.

Exactly this.
To elaborate the point further, the more you homogenize, the more likely the remaining small differences between classes will make some objectively better or worse. As opposed to giving every unique and disparate utility, playstyles, and niches.
In FF11 MNK was, overall, one of the worst damage-dealer jobs in the game, but because of what it did have that no one else did it was heavily preferred in a few fights. In fighting games, many low-tier characters have their fans because they're fun to play at a sub-tournament level where poor matchups don't impact the experience (because player skill matters way more).
On the other hand, in Runescape pre-EoC every point on the combat triangle had its advantages and disadvantages. Melee was economical, had good armor except vs. spells, and had great special attacks, but had to be in the foe's face and lacked utility. Ranged had medium armor, had both good passive ammo effects and weapon special attacks, and had crazy burst potential on some weapons, esp. if hybriding with melee. Magic had the widest variety of effects and utility, the best crowd control, the highest sustained DPS, and could reliably AoE long before the other two styles could, but was hideously expensive to use as a primary style, had tissue paper for armor, exceedingly few special attacks, and little burst capability w/o hybriding.
Post-EoC, the triangle was homogenized. This first stripped Magic of most of its niches in combat and killed its own unique feel. Then, when they reintroduced some more oldschool type spell effects and combat utility spells, magic then shot up to being the best in the game (outside of PvP, where Ranged's numerical triangle advantage over magic and sheer burst KO capacity gives it an edge). It kept its passive effects, support ability, highest sustained DPS, and having the best AoE, but now it also had burst capability, good weapon special attacks, no longer was the most expensive style to use because of abilities not charging runes to cast, and no longer depended on CC for defense. Then, on top of that, an exploit that let mages tick extra powerful 2h auto-spellcasts between abilities on dual-wield by switching weapons at the right time, which Melee and Ranged couldn't do because a difference in how default spell castings work differently than weapon auto-attacks. Jagex's only way to solve this, last I played which was a year and half ago, had been to amp up the numerical penalty you take in fights against in corner of the triangle at advantage to yours. But this was irrelevant against a lot of bosses, who mostly have balanced defenses.
Point is, by trying to bring all the styles together to balance them on both a content and economy level, Jagex instead made magic de facto the superior style in the majority of the game's content. Same goes for trying to balance FF14 healers through homogenization. Either you succeed in utterly palette swapping them, or one winds up a third wheel.

totally agree ... tho it's homogenization .. but u have in same time a real busy class (AST) and 2 class that have a lot less to do ... so it's not homogenized in play style and what each bring and what is fun for each.
still feels WHM and SCH both are quite boring to play when u start mastering them while AST is the busiest and at some point may be the funniest to play
