SE: Give us Housing in New EU servers already.

As the title says, I find it unfair that Twintania and Spriggan still don't have housing after almost a month of being implemented. I had hopes for today, but how more are you gonna make us wait? Another 2 months? We still can use basic FC buffs, but we need company workshop and also want to work on better buffs for the FC. Also a place to hang out and feel it's ours, instead of being Limsa hobos.

When Omega and Louisoix were added, the waiting wasn't this long. Give us at least a date when you have this planned. It's insulting.

They cant give a date. They are watching the playerbase and waiting for the majority of the players to have enough funds to be able to purchase a house if they want one so everyone has a fair shot at them.

How long it takes depends on the playebase and how fast they accumulate gil.

With new Free Company stuff to do in the workshop, this is just sad. About the gil to get a house, many of the players who moved here already have the gil to buy a house, new ones get 1 million for free at lvl 30, and there's been enough time already to get the rest. I mean, I myself made more than 3 millions selling garbage. It's not hard to make money.

And the server population is already big enough.

I don't know man I don't even care about housing for myself right now, I just want the house for our FC. Give us a goddamn date at least so we don't have to be there blindly waiting for it.

Absolutely no reason to gate such content behind a finite commodity like Housing. Slap a Grand Company NPC in each of the three starting cities, let us pay whatever the cost for the Workshop was (300k? 500k?) to the NPC representing the Grand Company the Free Company has the highest Standing in, and have him act as a transport to the Workshop. Done. Every Free Company now has a Workshop. The door in a Free Companies Estate, should they be lucky enough to get one, simply acts as another (likely more convenient) way to access the Workshop.

Having a representative in the Grand Companies would be an improvement, yeah. A lot of content is locked behind housing, workshop, planting, better buffs... I guess 5.1 is the closest hope now.

Hopefully you'll get some housing soon! Missing a house can cut into a lot of free mounts, materials, and gil a FC can generate .

A bit tangent but imo how FFXIV's housing is done is a huge mistake for MMORPG (it was made just for FC way way back when, so I know there are some reasons why it started this way but I still wish it will evolve), for FFXIV it is closer to "just housing" but having a home base in a long lasting content like an MMORPG is a huge point of grounding. .

Housing can be a key part of the glue but because it's put off, restricted in more ways than one, and lose-able (this is huge too), its.. its just housing ;(. It has some pretty creative players, but I wish more could be said about it- listing it as a feature to the game sort of thing.

If they do housing again in another mmorpg or if they can muster the resources for this one, I really and sincerely hope they don't do it this way again (the limited quantity part, they could run phasing to keep neighborhoods if they wanted- though I prefer more power via a sort of your own instance concept which also provides a more modular and granular growth system).

Building up and growing a home is almost akin to building up a long term companion, a home away from home. In most games that give housing early and keep that content going with you as you play it's one of my most favorite features of those games. Even single player RPGs, like I think of Assassins Creed 3 (Native American Assassins Creed) and I just think fondly on my Homestead.
