Do you realise that changing the potency of Aspected Helios from 100 to 200 while keeping barrier at 250% would be of a stronger crit Adlo Deploy with no cooldown?

Yes, when you double something's potency, you decrease the shields.
Cards are not shit, they are better than fish-for-balance. Maybe the removal of the slot machine RNG will bring more players to AST. I am considering it.
I did realise, but what I don't understand is why they had to decrease the shields when the healing potency was the only problem. I get "balance," but AST was always on the low end.
And the cards are shit. There were already tons of AST before 5.0, so it's not like it needed to cater to more of playerbase who didn't already appreciate its design and intended use.Enjoy playing it, with one little buff per person at a time in a party of 8.~ Don't worry, DNC, BRD, and potentially other classes got the AoE buffs down pat. They'll carry your weight as a synergist.

I'm sorry for being so unpleasant. I'm just so frustrated with the healer business it's unreal. This fustration has been going on an entire month it's burning me out. I should just stop looking at the healer stuff. There's really no point anymore.

They didn't decrease the shields. They've kept them the same, for Aspected Helios at least, and buffed them for Celestial Opposition.
Aspected Helios
Old: 100 Potency, 250% Shield = 250 potency shield
New: 200 Potency, 125% Shield = 250 potency shield
CO
Old: 100 Potency, 150% Shield = 150 potency shield
New: 200 Potency, 125% Shield = 250 potency shield
CI
Old: 150 Potency, 250% Shield = 375 potency shield
New: 200 Potency, 200% Shield = 400 potency shield
CI is now a 30 sec cooldown crit Adlo Deploy.

Been feeling quite blue about these sweeping changes that only seemed to have the singular goal of removing the things I found to be great about my favorite job and we have heard barely any word from SE for the reasoning behind it.
Please consider taking a break to let the mind calm a bit. Why not try the new treasure maps or a completely different game, heard Outer Wilds is great. We've made some noise here and are hoping to get our issues adressed in the coming Live Letter. If not, we'll be back here.

Stop misrepresenting. They asked to not ask job/role related questions before seeing the changes in 5.05. Because the pointless "Will we get Energy Drain?", "Is AST getting buffed?" questions would simply be post bloat.
What I meant was that it's not even close in terms of dps. The upgrade is what? At best 1/3 of the rdps contribution plus a bit on top because less healing will be needed. We're talking what? 200 maybe 300 dps more? Nothing has really changed.
