I'm sorry for being so unpleasant. I'm just so frustrated with the healer business it's unreal. This fustration has been going on an entire month it's burning me out. I should just stop looking at the healer stuff. There's really no point anymore.

Been feeling quite blue about these sweeping changes that only seemed to have the singular goal of removing the things I found to be great about my favorite job and we have heard barely any word from SE for the reasoning behind it.

Please consider taking a break to let the mind calm a bit. Why not try the new treasure maps or a completely different game, heard Outer Wilds is great. We've made some noise here and are hoping to get our issues adressed in the coming Live Letter. If not, we'll be back here.

I’m super happy to see Ed back just wish atherflow mastery came with it. Love the healing changes to Astro now I won’t shudder when I see them in group with me. Very pleased they didn’t nerf whm, I know everybody was expecting it but it didn’t happen. Yet they are still complaining. ED is not going to bring sch up to your dps level it’s literally just there for dumps it’s not worth weaving unless we are sitting on stacks.

Now I will admit I don’t know what QOL changes whm needs cause I have not read their threads. The reason being is they insist on jumping into sch and Astro threads telling us to suck it up and deal with it & how it’s white mages turn to shine. Also that we deserve to see what it felt like to be ignored. Seriously some of you (not all) are just toxic (you know who you are). Even though they didn’t touch you, it does not change the fact that your still on top for heals and pDPS. I hope you all get the QOL changes your looking for if for no other reason then you will leave the rest of us alone.

Well scholar got energy drain back so good for them.

Astro got.......nothing back.... I wish I never mained that class

I might not be doing the math right but isnt astro shields still much more potent then scholars almost 100% of the time? What even is scholar shields? Why don't we just turn astro into the perminate shield class and make scholars straight heals.

On the surface, it does kinda look like that.
Adlo: 375 potency shield
Succor: 225 AoE

A. Benefic: 500
A. Helios: 250 AoE

Plus AST has Celestial Opposition for another 250 potency AoE shield.
(Intersection would be used in isolation in Diurnal so can't really be added to the list)

However, Scholar can do a lot more with its Shields via Tactics, spreading that Adlo to all party members, converting them into pure healing, plus it can garrantee a double shield for Adlo making it a 750 potency shield.
Then there's Excog, which is a sort of pseudo shield with a whopping 800 potency.

I'm very happy with the changes. Now, SE please just leave healers alone for awhile.

WHM was left awesome. SCH improvements, especially ED back! AST fixes to really improve some of the crap CDs they had.

These changes helped. But downtime is still a complete drag and it remains to be seen whether the AST changes will put them to the right level.
