Did you misread these MP changes as potency changes? Or were you hoping for potency buffs instead? Because these are a huge boon to RDM right now, as the class was also MP negative without lucid to back it up. This will go a long way to making RDM enjoyable again.

Hagakure is only a QoL change that resets Sen. It's been nerfed to 5 kenki per Sen, so it's not a DPS gain. SAM got some QoL stuff, but nothing that will help our overall dps, so we'll still be pushed to the side for DRG and MNK (especially with their changes).

I don't know about that! Samurai can still work for the harder content and with their DPS that it could help trim down savage bosses a bit faster, what Samurai needs is to be paired up with other DPS that can fill in other roles that give Buffs and Debuffs to even everything out. I would never suggest pairing up a Samurai with other DPS that have no Buff/Debuff Options which can lead to problems during the fight, Samurai is basically the heavy hitter that you can count on when in a pinch.
So I don't think Samurai is going to be pushed to the side, but Ninja on the other hand is probably going to struggle from what people have been saying about it.

Haga is not the same. Dream is dead, time to go mnk now.

Now when I join a group with an AST in it I won't be sad anymore, that's nice. Rdm's can actually rez people now, that's nice. That's pretty much the patch summed up, Ast/Rdm are being treated fairly for once.
Now for Nin, did you really think that change was going to impress anyone ? why disgrace the job like that when everyone else gets nice changes ? I'd rather a punch in the face than a 50 potency buff.
Sam: I don't play it but I remember the casting feeling really bad on a melee job, this should help make you feel less like a blm?

SEs thinking
“Hey sam and monk are already the top dps besides blm, lets buff them to hell even more!”
All SE “Ok! Please be excited for it”
Random SE visitor “Uh what about the worst dps job NIN??”
SE “Who cares, we are buffing the already strongest dps roles!”
All NINs, including me “........(obsenity) SE”
Nin buffs are garbage but Sam's aren't exactly any better. Hagakure is zero increase, the QoL is nice but doesn't solve issues. Drg and Mnk are extremely meta so expect locked PFs. The worst part is with how awful the balance patch is I can't even blame PFs being locked, it would be asinine to gimp yourself taking Nin/Sam now that SE has shown their cards.SEs thinking

Cool they just buffed all my tanks in pvp, going to do some crazy stuff on my warrior.

Not directly no but if you think about them not having movement restrictions, it sort of is a damage buff since they can now move in mechanics but keep at full dps skills.
Im happy for them though, it needed it , but not as bad as ninja needed, well everything LOL
On to run monk to 80 before next Tuesday now!
But ya for casual players youre right, SE is kinda messing up on what roles get priority and cant blame duties being locked away from those roles, nothing a good nin player can do vs a bad monk player, that monk will still be picked first.
