    LOTS of changes to Astro. Maybe it'll be enough to bring the Astro defectors back to the job. But I have 0 experience with the job so what do I know. I am genuinely curious to hear what an Astro thinks about it though.

    AST needed healing potency buffs fairly badly, so these should hopefully allow it to heal and not feel as if you’re limping the entire time. Some of the changes they made needed to happen (e.g., COpp needed a buff and a reduced cooldown because it was a joke of a skill). I still wish Horoscope detonated on its own, but at least it was buffed in potency and duration.

    Divination had way too long a cooldown for its buff, so bringing it down to 120s was a really good decision. It also got a slight potency buff as well, so maybe it won’t be a feelsbadman buff now. Sleeve Draw was really clunky during Divination windows what with forcing you to have Lightspeed because of all the double-weaving Draw/Play/Minor Arcana, so the change may help reduce that cumbersome feel quite a bit. I’ll have to test it out to see, but I feel confident on it.


    We’ll see how AST’s rDPS fairs in Savage once people start clearing it. And while I’m still not thrilled with the card system overhaul it saw, I’m really hoping it’s a bit better now overall so I can dust off my globe. I miss my preferred healer of choice.

    I already said this in this other thread but nin is very "trick"y to buff.
    Because one hand, they sorta need a buff but on the other hand, if they buff it too much to where the dmg is decent....Say...higher than bards, some people will lock their slot to nin and then once again!

    We just have the melee meta repeat again since HW.

    Though drg isn't that needed as it use to be since bards and mch don't need them but they still bring Lit, DS and (until we see how much samurai and mnk dps go up from the changes) does equal dps to mnk and just under samurai.

    It's a buff less manacost. I had a lot of out-of-mana, during my leveling.

    Same for SMN, it's a buff !

    As a currently former SAM player, I like most of the changes and could've wished that I was still playing the job to experience those instant casts. But I never liked having to choose between resources, so I was glad when Hagakure was removed. Since I no longer play the job, I can be glad for those people who wanted it back, but my regret for not playing the job has been reduced because it's back.
