Equipment ideas:
I suggest status adjustment as you equip an item, which he has done with the level 70 earing, that gives you experience.
What I’d like to happen is that when you go to an NPC to buy Tank, Healer, DPS, Crafter, Gather, etc. There wouldn't be separations between Bard, Dark Knight, White Mage etc. because what we have here is for example:
Bard and Machinist can wear the same armor and accessories while Ninja can only share the accessories, that's very dumb. Instead you should create one pair of an item.
Talk to an NPC > Select from: Tank, Healer, DPS, Crafter, Gather, etc. > Select from: top, body, gloves, belt, bottom, shoes, weapon, shield, earing, necklace, bracelet, and rings.
What I wish for mainly is for example: the DPS classes to not be separated by melee or ranged, but to be one item for all DPS, with status adjustment, once you equip it and it can appear as any design they want.
What I’m suggesting here is, sure you can keep job weapons separate, I mean A White Mage can’t use a Scholars book. But for Equipment, Just as every tank can wear the same equipment, so to should Healers and DPS.
That's it, they would be used by every job but they would status switch and status adjust.
Example:
We go to an area to get gear that’s item level 400 and the status, strength dexterity etc. is 40+ (just as an example)
I buy this gear from weapon to rings for my Bard, and I can equip them to every single DPS I have, but when I switch jobs, the status names change, the numbers change if needed as well.
Now like I said I know that the FFXIV team likes to create different style sets for every class, let it stay that way.
But when you equip this equipment, the set will shift looks and appear as an archer designed outfit, then when u go ninja it'll shift and appear as a ninja designed outfit, they'll be of the same origin, the same item but different style appearance.
Basically the logic here is like summer event outfit or something, if a guy wears it, it looks this way, if a girl wears it, it looks that way and if another race wears it, it looks another way. But the status adjustment would work just like for that level 70 experience earing. It would adjust to the job that’s wearing it.
But another idea I have is: we already know that most gray items can be used by any job so my suggestion is, is that green and gray items become unlocked for all classes, so that any job could wear them.
Example:
You'll go into a dungeon and a green item dress drops, it used to be for ninja but it's for every job now, people need it, greed it, whoever gets it, keeps it.
Of course here the same rule as the rule that already exists is applied, a player that has obtained this item cannot obtain it again, unless they discard it.
