Housing Ideas
Only free company’s get housing. Right now a player can own a mansion and only visit it to keep it there, without decorating it, showing that they don't need it, that they're only greedy. If housing areas were made for FC's, I believe the area itself would have more people around. Right now the population of a ward is almost no one. One house equals one person, how many people does that leave per ward? 30? 60? Player visitations to their houses per day?
My Idea for Housing wards is this:
Housing wards belong to FC's. That would increase its population and activity.
30+ members get a small house, 100+ member’s get a medium house and above 200+ get the mansion.
And so the people who make FC’s for kicks with only two members, don’t get a house at all, they could just hang at an apartment.
Because, think about it, mansions get stolen by a FC of two or one person, then rarely gets visited ever again, it also takes away the fun from people that have many FC members. A FC that holds almost 200 or more members has to sit in a small house or a medium, rarely a mansion. I believe that is very cruel.
Players have access to: apartments, personal housing, fc housing, friend’s house as a tenant and a FC room. We can exclude the friend’s house tenant and the fc house itself, but the room, the personal house and an apartment is already too much, and you're asking why people are all over the place and why there's no housing? They grab it just for grabbing it.
There is plenty of housing, it just needs fixing. And we might also need a FC currency, maybe by converting gil into currency as you donate, so that it can’t be stolen and walked away with, as I’ve seen happen many times. So that unless you use it for something, it can’t be taken out.
I also agree on instanced housing, players could rank up their housing to a certain level and get to switch in between small, medium, large. Depending on their progress, this could be a crafting, gathering requirement. Would make people work for their house instead of just buying it and visiting it just because their subscription is about to run out, but they don’t even hang in it.
