    So I know this is an older thread buy I have been battling this for about 3 months now. I have tried so many potential fixes from around the internet it has made my head spin. However after pretty much giving up I did what the OP did and gave my computer a good deep cleaning of dust. and for over 2 weeks I have had absolutely no issues with DirectX crashes to desktop and I play daily.

    Just thought I would share and hopefully help someone else.
